TDS GTNXi: How to keep the GTN in 2D window mode?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm using the TDS GTNXi in the fabulous Milviz Cessna 310.

Since I want to create a very usable 'Air Manager' 2D cockpit and to use MSFS2020 just for the front view out of the virtual 3D cockpit I have a need to use the GTN in "Window mode" as shown below.

But as soon as I load the aircraft the GTN window closes because it then runs in 'gauge mode' in the virtual 3D cockpit.

Is there a way to keep the GTN window open or instead reconfigure the aircraft so I only have the window mode instead of the gauge mode?

Many thanks

Will it still be connected with the HSI/Autopilot of the aircraft in use?

Yeah it should be called tds-gtnxi-gauge I think - yeah it should still connect and "talk" to the plane.  Just move it out of there temporarily....if something goes awry just place it back in again (after you close the sim).
