Does anyone here know if Pilot2ATC works well with these planes?

yeah, it works great with them (it runs completely outside of the sim by reading FSUIPC/XPUIPC outputs, so it should work with almost any addon aircraft.)

well, a flight i just did in japan where the p2atc had a different airac than the fenix did was kinda interesting... but that was user error on me, plus a small navigraph/fenix directory issue...

works great otherwise.

Great to know! Is there a better alternative than Pilot2ATC for offline flying? Or is this the best one? Also will the co-pilot handle all the radio comms while I'm flying? That would make flying the A320 much more realistic.

Not all,  you have to ask for Clearance, pushback, taxi, departure and such, but the co pilot will handle all the mundane center handoffs and altitude and approach clearances.  it technically requires voice comms for your bit, but there is a text option.  I preferred Pro/atc in sims past, but this is the best we got now (I don't like the other "canned flight" ATC options, ymmv)  there's another program incoming from flight 1,  but it's not out yet.

Thanks, I'm really waiting for a very good and modern offline ATC program to come out for MSFS. Seems like all the ones I've seen are so old, outdated, and using very old technology.

I believe there is a free demo available.  I have been using it for years, fantastic even beyond the ATC aspect of if.

CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB
MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro |  GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

Think the Demo runs for a week or so.

Best ATC I have come across and works great with the PMDG. You can hand most off to the FO although I prefer having a button to press that gets the FO to reply (it will do that) unless I am AFK then I set the FO to answer automatically, all functions can be done through the interface if you don't feel like speaking.

Definately recommend it tbh

I have used them all, and for the last 4 or 5 years, I have used PF3, It is updated constantly, and has over 100 controller voices that are included with it. Great for VFR as well as IFR.

You know, what I really like about Pilot2ATC is...

  • support, Dave is amazing, seems like I get emails back within minutes (even on weekends)
  • easy flight planning, drag and drop on the interactive map and importing plans from pretty much any source
  • excellent SID/STAR planning again being very clear and concise in the map
  • easy wx from any airport
  • airport info at the touch of a button, gates, runways, freqs...
  • the map layout itself with selectable styles

These are just a few items.  Yeah, I know you may find similar in other programs, but this brings them all home to a single source.  Weird is I have the full subscription to Navigraph yet have never really used it (only to have a single source data base the sim and planes). I often bring up the Pilot2ATC app even when doing a VFR flight just for the utilization of the interface.  And a side note make sure you get the 'chatter' addon, very very cheap but great ambiance.

I'm probably in the minority, but I'm still using the default ATC. It's a bit quirky (to put it mildly!) but it usually gets me on the ground if I ignore some bits.

Edit: I realise this would get me fired or dead IRL.

I just started to do some research and might consider trying Pilot2ATC out.

Here's what I like so far:

Your can add ATC Chatter files.

You can download free MS English voices and enable them in the Config.

I LOVE that it has a moving MAP. Since it's a planner, I don't need LNM open.

You can import from Simbrief or .pln saved by LNM files. LNM is great for VFR planning.

You can integrate with Navigraph charts.

What I need to learn now is how to set up my headset/mic to communicate with Pilot2ATC. I have not found a video yet. I have to have this feature for added realism.

In the future, I would love to see layered weather radar the same way I see in SimToolKitPro.

Flying IFR or Airliners (IFR) requires easy access to info. I have a second monitor specifically for LNM or Pilot2ATC. I also have tablet to view my charts. Too many utilities makes things confusing. This is right up my alley if the voices sound right.
