FS X and scenery mesh range

Recommended Posts

HiI have this question about fsx and scenery mesh.In FS X with SP1 I have LOD11 mesh. Even with mesh resolution 19m, I can't see the "right" terrain mesh from far distance. Only when I get very close the "right" terrain mesh is visible. How can this be fixed ? I need to have the terrain mesh visible all the time (far distance).KalaK

By default the sim renders distant terrain at a lower res mesh.FSX adds the ability of a mesh bgl to contain multiple levels-of-detail -- a buffer mesh-- I believe.Other than the Texture Detail Radius slider, I do not know of another way to influence this. Be careful manually editing your texture detail radius setting in the FSX.CFG file. It's been known to cause severe problems setting it too high.Someone else probably knows more than I do. So this will bump your question up.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian
