Anyone else BSOD on menus?

Hi,I've overclocked my E6600/DFI Infinity 975X/G to 3.33 GHz with a 533 memory divider (1:1), giving 800 MHz memory running at 742 MHz 5/5/5/16. Aircooled with a Zalman 9700. The system has been rock solid and runs FSX very nicely. Highest CPU temps I have seen have been around 48C when running FSX full blast with Google Earth running, too, with an ambient room temp of 80F. Never crashes, runs 24/7 no problem, except...Every so often, randomly, when I am starting FSX and I choose to go into a menu like load flight plan or change planes or season and time of day, I get a BSOD reboot.Is anyone else seeing this? I think I know what the problem is. Your room temp is way too high. No normal person can effectivly flight sim in 80 degrees. I personally like to have the room at 73 F in summer, 70 in Winter with target humidity of 40%.;-)Mark.

Yes, the VMem is up. I'll post the actual settings later when I get back to my computer.The reason I posted here is that this is the only situtation in which I have had a problem with the system. FSX and every other program I run has been fine with nary even a software crash otherwise. I haven't had the BSOD in FSX but did in FS9 and I fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling my video card drivers. Perhaps this will fix your problem too.Jim

Thomas,Do you still get BSODs if you reduce the OC?Have you tried to ease up the BIOS settings (latency and such) for your memory sticks?There have been several posts from people that got BSODs running FSX and SP1. In my opinion FSX and SP1 is the best test tool when you OC.When I OCed my pc i ran some freeware programs to test the memory, without any errors. Still I got a BSOD in FSX (pre SP1), so I had to let some pressure of the memory to get a stable system.Ulf B
