TWITCH UPDATE

IOWA_ANNOUNCE.png

We stream weekly on Twitch.tv/MSFSOfficial! June is Pride Month, and we here at the Microsoft Flight Simulator team are proud to celebrate with all our LGBTQ+ players and fans. Members of the MSFS team will be attending the National Gay Pilots Association (NGPA) Wings Over Iowa event this weekend, but for those of us who won’t be there in-person, we can instead attend virtually via this Community Friday Fly-In. All are welcome to participate!Click here for details.

Next Wednesday, June 8th, Jayne will continue her flying lessons with ForderLearnToFly in the Beechcraft Bonanza G36. Join us and learn together!

COMMUNITY VIDEO

We know many of you feel the need for speed and are loving the new Top Gun Maverick DLC, but for those sim pilots out there who prefer civilian aviation, it’s been a great month for plane releases. Between the DC Designs Concorde, the Just Flight BAe 146 Professional, the Leonardo MD-82 Maddog, the PMDG 737, and the Fenix A320, it’s truly a wonderful time to be a virtual airline captain in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Another jet recently released for both PC and Xbox to the in-sim Marketplace was the HA-420 HondaJet from developer Marwan Gharib. YouTuber AvAngel recently put this new plane through its paces. Is it worth a purchase? Find out by watching AvAngel’s review video below (spoiler alert: YES!).

This past week our Screenshot Challenge was “Need for Speed”. In celebration of our Top Gun: Maverick DLC, we chose a few additional runner ups this week:

they were talking about delaying it last Q&A so they could have a longer beta testing period, looks like they decided.

For those wondering about World Update X, the area it will cover will be announced on the 12th during Microsoft's Game Conference.

There's also a "surprise" major release slated for June. It's likely the WU, the local legend, and the surprise release are all related since they usually disclose details about them beforehand.

Nice to have a little bit of mystery - need some excitement to cling onto over the summer while we wait for SU X.

This means, iff they get it right... after that time. Personally, I would have preferred July. I don't speak about new features like DX12, but there are a number of disturbing issues in ground performance, VR, and Bush Trips which are overdue to be solved (IMHO, of course).

I hope they release the beta in Early July. I am not afraid and took part in all betas so far.

Kind regards, Michael

It's fine if MS taking their time as long they do actually get things right first time, we all know that just because they have gave themselves a few month between Sim Updates that bugs can still sneak through, they're just less likely.

Really hope that SU10 will bring working weather api so that planes like the PMDG 737 and Fenix A320, FBWA320NX, etc can incorporate them into their cockpits.

Can anyone tell me what island it is at the beginning of the promo video for Local Legend 4? It's from 00:13 to 0:41 on the footage. There are some most realistic and beautifu coast cliffs from MSFS. I'd really fly there and see.

That's what they've been saying, the SDK section of the Weekly update mentions it.

Pushing it back is one thing but that's not the same thing as actually listening to what we tell them during testing and acting on it.

Just out of curiosity what ever happend to the Antonov An-2 that was supposed to be one of the first local legends releases ? Is that still stuck in legal limbo because of licencing issues ?

The Q&A before last Jorg said they got final approval from Antonov, so I'm not sure what is holding it up.
