Still missing VOR2

Recommended Posts

Well, always the optomist, I thought installing SP1 for FSX would magically fix the missing VOR2 readout in the Lear and CRJ. Silly me. Oh sure, you can tune NAV2 and the needle will point the way to the station, but there's no identifier or DME on the instrument panel. Very handy. It's kind of like turning on the TV in the family room and then trying to watch it from the bedroom. This is just plain stupid. If there's a hidden command someplace to make it available, then I'm the one that's stupid and someone will point me in the right direction. But I doubt it.Another dumb move, a little off-subject, is the 2D cockpit view in the Lear when you Shift-4 to look out the left window and there's a pillar blocking a little over half the window. Cute. It makes one wonder if MS tried FSX out on a real-world computer and monitor or on an IMAX screen.

I have the Lear enhancement...I'll see if VOR 2 is there. I really missed VOR 2 in the CRJ on my last flight.

It's the 3d model's VC you're seeing.Things like this make me wonder if folks are actually reading messages already posted, or just write about the same horses that've already been flogged to death... ;)

Well, whether I'm flogging a dead horse or not, and I apologize if this has been discussed ad naseum...can't read everything, everywhere, y'know...the point was why take something away that was working fine before? If it was an "oops...forgot", fine. We all make mistakes. So fix it. Somehow the tradeoff between a missing gauge and making waves look cuter doesn't add up. It shouldn't be up to Toyota to put their engines in a Ford so the Ford gets better mileage. Wake up, Ford. Wake up, FS team. But hey, it's just a game. Not going to lose any sleep over it.Thanks for the link to the Lear gauges, though.
