Bought the core version from JustFlight... but the upgrade is not live there yet methinks. Argh.

Will make my own bread this weekend instead of going to the baker’s - then the upgrade is paid 😉

A buttkicker helps somewhat, as does a motion chair.

Was released hours ago. There is a big thread about it here.

I really can't stand the all or nothing take on things that some people on here have. Stop putting words in people's mouths. Enough with the 'what aboutism'. If we have a point of view that's different than yours maybe accept it graciously instead of exaggerating the point of view of others likes it's invalid just because it is not your own.

It's getting increasingly difficult to post something not conforming with the popular opinion on these forums without 20 people piling up on the poster, essentially repeating the same thing everyone else has already said 10 times before while blowing the point, which was rather simple and innocent, completely out of proportion by posting weirdly broad moral lessons á la developers have to eat and survive, you can't have everything for free/everything in life has a price, time is money, the poster should rethink and appreciate the developer's service to the community and humanity, etc. And when the poster replies to some of it trying to explain they're the one making a fuss who won't let go of their outlandish claim.

its nice to be reminded of how good FS Realistic was in XP11 in VR.

Now its here in FS and it is the cherry on this delicious FS cake.

Mount Cook in NZ skimming the peaks, up and down, side to side, squeaks and bangs... awesome.

Going to have to map my Nav buttons now using this, the mouse has got suddenly drunk.

A must have in VR if you haven't got it.

If you ordered the core via Paypal, how do you get the upgrade?

What vendor did you buy it from? That is where you get the upgrade.

My favorites are the takeoff roll, and spoiler sounds.

I think my favorite is the touch down effect.  Currently in MSFS it's hard to distinguish between a hard landing or a butter; however, you can definitely tell with FSRealistic.  Takeoff roll and turbulence shaking are also very immersive.

Hi Steve,

FSRealistic here.

I already answered in a separate post on this thread so please look for it. Hopefully it will give you some answers.

No one likes to pay again and again, I agree, but this is not the case here.
We announced since the launch of the Core that there will be another product named PRO once Asobo will support movements.
We also mentioned that Core users will get a discount for upgrade.
You mentioned our other product XPRealistic - this is being sold for 34.99$.

Please read my post and im here to answer any other questions you might have.

Thank you very much

Thanks for answering, and well done on the update. What I have written is only my point of view and what I had understood or perhaps misunderstood somewhere when I was purchasing. Maybe I simply misunderstood.

I am guessing by the response of quite a few people here that it indeed it is likely that it did say somewhere that it would be a paid upgrade, but I, as well as clearly a significant number of others, hadn't seen that and were confused by today's news. So something must have been unclear somewhere. It is also possible I heard it in a video review and maybe that's why I thought this.

It doesn't matter anyway. I made my point earlier that I think was a valid one as other's were clearly surprised too so I am far from alone here. Seems a few on this forum can't stand anyone else having a different perspective/opinion hence why this discussion/debate became needlessly long. I am not going to get hung up on it. I will probably pay the 6 dollars as I like the effects and still think it is a good addon.

Very well said. Hit the nail on the head. Quick though, we better skedaddle before this point is blown out of proportion and forces another 10 pages of debate!!

Yup, completely agree. Never mind headshake effects, this is more like a 'shakedown'.

I bought FS Realistic for both X-Plane and MSFS, and when I purchased the MSFS version, it was with the understanding that these effects would be added later. Otherwise, I would never have bought it. As the developer had said he would add these effects once it was possible, and for it to be on par with the X-Plane version, the assumption was it would be added for no additional cost. I like supporting developers but this is a cash grab, and to start charging for such basic updates that should have been there since the beginning is frankly ridiculous.

What's next, PMDG charging for the EFB update? Or airport developers charging for improvement patches?

Following your logic, Microsoft shouldn't charge FSX owners for MSFS. FSX was not as real as it gets.  🙂
