Fenix EFB-can I use my own sourced pdf airport charts?

There is no PDF display support in the web framework used by MSFS. All graphics would have to be PNG, JPEG, etc. Secondly, there is no filesystem access, so you can't get a list of files in any particular folder.

The FBW A320 allows people to upload their own charts.

This is currently a planned feature, not yet completed, and would be done with the aid of an external process (like our external MCDU). There is no way to accomplish this completely in-sim, as Matt mentioned.

Please do not contact me via DM for support or help with the A32NX mod. We recommend using our help channel on our Discord.

I have navigraph, and while the efb feature seems cool, I vastly prefer looking at my navigraph charts on my actual iPad or the in game navigraph app, than on the virtual efb.  Wonder if anyone has coded a widget to display local PDFs on a separate in game app.  Would have uses beyond charts as well… manuals, checklists, etc…

This app lets you view PDFs in game:-

I haven't used it so no idea if it's any good.

The EFB is a full blown web browser (CEF I assume), isn't it? If that is so, why can't pdf.js be used for rendering PDF files?

Not all of us use or want a Navigraph subscription. I'd love to see a PDF viewing app for the EFB so we can use our own charts or whatever docs we wish to use during flight.

Also maybe is possible to load Airmate and chartFox free services?

ChartFox - Free Flight Simulation Charts

AIRMATE – Préparation et suivi de vols

Thanks Javier,

I hadn't heard of ChartFox, just checked it out.

If Navigraph can connect to the Fenix EFB, then why not ChartFox?

If any of the Fenix devs are viewing this.......please give your customer base the ability to import their own charts into the EFB.

"Keep the professionalism of your aircraft. "

Why on earth is that professionalism, that it only can use Navigraph?

So using Lufthansa System's LIDO charts isn't professional?
