I doubt very much you do.  I'm on 400Mb and don't use any cache (in game or in app) and it works flawlessly.  Turn it off, your drives will thank you.

I wonder if not caching actually saves wear on your drives. I might be that tiles are downloaded, written to a temporary file or files and then assembled into memory to be displayed in the sim then discarded. Just speculation on my part though.

Do you really use a mechanical drive in 2022?

No. SSDs have limited write cycles though.

Some should ask the people from Asobo and their next meeting, why don't they switch to the latest Bing Maps.?

The images need to be processed, colour corrected, removing clouds and all that for the sim. It's a lot of work, which is why they do it with world updates.

Can't believe people still worry about write cycles in this day and age. You'd need to run your SSD like a 24/7 enterprise drive for 5 years to even get close to wearing it out. Your occasional flights with some downloading is gonna take you 20 years to wear out your drive.

Hi to all,
I installed the mod for Google but I don't see any difference in MSFS. As suggested, installation in the suggested default directory.
I fly in Quebec, Canada.
Did I miss something?

Thanks
Christian
