Considering this is a free add on, I'm, not sure why 3 pages of trying to answer the OP's question is of any help.  Obviously some people have problems and some (like myself) have NO issues.  This mod may or may not bring you happiness. Run it as instructed by the creator OR throw it in your recycle bin if you you dislike it.  NO HARM, NO FOUL... Good flights to ALL ! 😉

This will very more helpful in X-Plane 12, hope they bring it to it too. I did now a flight in middle Africa to get close to the animal positions and then flight with a helicopter, and in that case the ground photos were worst that the FS20, with many tiles and unsequenced pictures.

The beauty is that you can choose the best tiles for your location on the fly.

OK, so this is a NO for all those simmers wanting to fly a helicopter in middle Africa to get close to the animals !  GOT IT !! 👍

An good idea is to delete and turn off MSFS internal cache too before testing. Otherwise I got popping and overlaying textures. After that all worked fine for me after testing first time today. A no brainer everbody should test in his area.

Reading some people here and their problems . I have the impression that they spill their bottle of beer placed 3 seconds before but already forgotten on top of their pc at each start of this one...

And they find it surprising that nothing works.

I had more problems with certain updates of MSFS than this mode that I use since the beginning.

Never tried it before due to obvious issues and instabilities   Finally took the plunge this evening.  Simple install, nice UI,  easy enough for a 3 year old to set up. Opted for the latest Bing maps and went for the high res option.

Fantastic!   Wow, impressive crispy ortho, less saturated colours (in the two areas I visited, Adelaide + Vancouver anyway)   Everything just "pops" now, it looks amazing.

Granted I was in a slowish heli and never went above 5000' but i never saw any tile pop in at all.  You'd never know you were running a mod, it was seamless.

I know why Asobo aren't dishing us up imagery as good as the Hi-Res mode in this...  it uses four times the bandwidth!   Not an issue for me but worth taking into consideration if you have some kind of  data cap.

Super impressed so far. Need to try out some of the other map servers next..  is there a consensus on what has the best/latest ortho?    If there is better quality than the new Bing data i cant wait to see it.

If you're a low and slow kinda guy/girl then you have to at least try this out.   If you have no issues with it then there will be no going back to default, i promise you that.

I didn´t fly the helicopter still, I was in cruise in a cargo BAE 146 at 310FL in around 1700nm.

Much depends on where you fly but the tool lets you switch (even to the default Bing maps) on the fly.

PS: a small added feature is that you can let it load MSFS for you which I do.

I use "mt Google .com"

I would be willing to pay a subscription for even larger resolutions
