This is a nice tweak on SWS kodiak 100 that work:

1. CTRL + 4

2. Pull out STBY ATT (screen turns off)

Now you have 10 extra FPS

Yes.  I had hoped it would be fixed in the last update.  The developers do know about it.  Don't they realise this is a big thing to some people on the edge of 30 fps?

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

This Kodiak gives me 30 -> 38 in places I should have 48. My target is 48. Oh man oh man thats a pain. Have to lie down and troubleshoot. Cant fly around with 38 so I place it in the hangar. Why did I buy this piece of #¤%& ? LOL.

Ah!  Sarcasm!    Seriously though, I know it isn't much trouble to pull the breaker, but at a time when a lot of people are aiming for performance, it wouldn't hurt them to look at it a bit quicker.

Fenix jumped on their performance optimisations in days when people mentioned a few issues.

If we are going to get DLSS and DX12 etc. to give us better / smoother flight, it is pointless if developers don't do their bit also.

This is the same on the SWS RV-14.

That standby instrument is a horrendous resource hog.  And the manual gives a special shout out to the guy who made it!    It ruins the performance of every SWS product that uses it.

I find all these tweak videos as snake oil.

I think you might have left out /s at the end there. Otherwise it’s just a meaningless blanket statement.

Oh. The Kodiak is the only SWS plane I have.

Question... what exactly will DLSS do for MSFS? IS it just a matter of sharper graphics or will we get better frame rates etc? Sounds intriguing....

Better frame rates. DLSS renders the frames at a lower resolution and uses machine learning to upscale the image and reconstruct details so it closely matches a full resolution image. The frame rate boost can be quite significant (though of course not so much in scenarios where you're bottlenecked by the CPU rather than the GPU).
