The Honda Jet Isn't Good....

Good point...  I don't know why those first reviews had such an impact on my thinking.

There were a few genuine issues that can cause alarm. At least most people did admit that they did not know what they were doing.

The term "user error" came to mind.

Thanks, as i have an Asus G-Sync Monitor no need to use v-sync ( especially on 30fps). But i use  Riva tuner with frame limiter at 48fps most of the time ( as my main monitor refresh rate is 144hz).

Anyway i think this issue has to do with G3000 and display panels and cpu usage. There is a spike on MainThread/Manipulators and CoherentGT which creates this stuttering

The best way to find out is to try.

I've noticed big GPU owners are very nervous about 30 fps Vsync...although that's the key to the problem.

Yes i did many times, and 30fps on my setup looks ultra bad and jerky. I think 30fps will work great for Monitors with 60hz refresh rate. I have a 144hz g-sync monitor which i guess the minimum fps cap will be 48 ( 144/3).

Regarding  the issue on H-Jet after many tests i found the main cause: Its the G3000 when i add the decent altitudes on flight plan.

The Honda Jet really looks good!

Does anyone know if it can be operated at 4x or even 8x simrate? I am currently looking for a jet for slightly longer trips (2-3h real time) and I don‘t want to waste too much time cruising.

That will depend on your system.

I am flying it regularly and honestly am enjoying every minute of my 2-3 hour flights. I am more concerned about the day that MS decides to start showing commercials on the MFD.  THATS when I may operate at faster than real time...  but only to skip the commercials....   LOL!

I said LOL!

I (finally) bought this Hjet the other day when I learnt that Marwan was not only improving VR support but had bought a VR HMD himself to test the change (that's dedication!), since then I've been aiding him with some of the VR aspects but that aside - this is one great aircraft. For someone like me, that knows practically nothing about Jet Engined Aircraft let alone IFR and stuff, this is a great introductory plane. There's no faff, it's all very simple and straight forward, it takes seconds to start the engines and minutes before you're in the air (if you skip certain things) or it can take as long as you like. The attention to detail is outstanding and it's fast becoming my most fave aircraft, I was right in delaying purchase until the VR areas were sorted (currently in Beta not public) but I strongly advise anyone to just buy it when they can, it's very much worth it.

...I'm still put-off by the engines sitting atop of what looks to be carbon-fiber 'stalks.' 😛

It's a great plane!

The internal visuals are ok, but the avionics systems shine the most!

8700k (4.7ghz OC Watercooled)
32GB DDR4 3000 Ram
500GB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SERIES SSD M.2

I just saw a video of it, and one thing struck me the most:

How is it possible that companies like Boeing and Airbus who build Airliners that cost millions produce them without ever seriously updating the avionics? The Boeings have a system from the 70's that has been updated in the 90's and Airbus has a system from 80's that has been updated in the 2000's.

They do their job reliably, but when it comes to modern accessability and user friendliness the small business jets like the Honda Jet wipe the floor with them.

They certainly know what they are doing.  Are you aware that Honda designed and developed the uniquely efficient engines?  From scratch!  They have licensed production to GE, and my understanding is that the engines are available to other manufacturers.  The mounts are more substantial that might appear.  I have seen the mountings in a video.  I believe they are attached with 8 bolts.  What I do not recall is if that is 8 per aircraft or 8 per engine.

I’ve been flying this aircraft now for a good few days and absolutely love it….very 👍 well done for sure!

The OP should change the title to add "...because it's GREAT!" IMO.

It has been stated on this thread that the only option to purchase the Honda jet

is via the MSFS store. That is not correct. It can be purchased from ORBX direct

at www.orbxdirect.com   Be also aware that any updates to software on ORBX

that the vendor has supplied an update for will be available within a couple of days.

Unlike the two weeks or so that the Microsoft store seems to take.
