Enable steam overlay fixes the issue

Thanks for your input, but I assume this is for Steam purchasers (of which I am NOT).

For me, enabling steam overlay fixes a greyed out purchase icon, but does not fix a purchase pending notification on something being purchased. ( And yes, that solution is only for Steam MSFS accounts).

At flightsim.to a couple days ago, I had a Paypal purchase at flightsim.to in a pending endless loop. What cured the issue was for me to go direct to the Paypal website and logon manually (I logged in but did not make a purchase there). Then while still logged in at Paypal.com, I went back to the flightsim.to website and then the purchase at flightsim.to went through to completion.

I just went through this week or so ago... reboot computer.... open and log in to microsoft store leave minimized open xbox app log out and log back in ....  start msfs2020 not run as administer also make sure when running msfs2020..  in taskbar under properties Run As Admin is not checked.... open Msfs2020 through app is how I broke the curse of buying through MP... only took 5 hours to figure out

Once I purchased  I reset run to admin back in place important with all the 3rd party apps i run.  But wow. Was ready to throw msfs2020 in the toilet

I truly believe Microsoft has only hurt themselves with this bs.. because me .... this is last Microsoft product I will buy.

You should have the XBOX icon on your desktop.  Exit MSFS then click that.  Then click on your gamertag and sign out and then sign back in.  Run MSFS.

Worth a try at this point and you may also want to sign out and back in on your gamertag in MSFS.

This!  I had a four day long problem like this.  Another possible is to change your Microsoft password rather than just signing out.  After doing this my problems were solved.

Mind you as soon as I got MSFS working I purchased the Steam version so I didn't have to suffer the Xbox app/MS Store debacle ever again.

Thanks so much for this. I was having an issue last week or so and replicating what you wrote has fixed my problem.

Cheers
