Can you activate FSX on another computer?

Recommended Posts

I hope this isn't an annoying/illegal question. Someone wants to sell me a copy of FSX they no longer use and have removed from their computer. I haven't read the user aggreement and don't know if it's permissible to re-sell the program and can it be re-activated by the new owner.I think this is probably not possible since Microsoft loses on the transaction, but I thought I'd ask.Mike

Call Microsoft, they arn't as bad as people tend to make them seem to be, explain the issue, who knows what will happen.

1. you can activate FSX on 2 different Hardware, without activation problems.2. you are allowed to have FSX installed on one pc only. If your friend uninstalled his version, you are ok.3. if the number of activations are passed, you can call microsoft helpdesk for free. They can reset your activation key. Of course, if they find out that the program is installed/reactivated on too many pc's (let's say 1 different every week), they will refuse you. From your question, you should be ok.Jan
