FeelThere LAX opinions?

Recommended Posts

All of their titles are discounted on ORBX (aside from EDDF which probably wasn't qualified to enter the catalog due to the quality issues).

Any recommendations on their TIST?

I assume KLAS should be left for Flytampa...

I don't have it because I heard it's not better than the handcrafted asobo version, actually worse according to some...

In fact, someone just added an enhancement to the handcrafted OMDB at Flightsim.to. I just installed it and looks very good. I’ll pick up LGA and LAX and that’s it. If FlyTampa ever updates theirs I’ll definitely pick that one up.

Cheers, Pete

Feelthere is somehow not any more like it was in older times, i tried some but not realy lucky with it some with bad frames and not smooth, would keep Asobos if I had to choose, but it's all a matter of opinion..

cheers 😉

Glad to hear it.  I just picked it up on a whim because it was cheap and I figured should at least be a step up from default.

It's currently on sale for €7.13. But I don't think it offers that much compared to default. Performance is about the same. I guess one advantage with FeelThere is that the LAX sign is not completely covered in trees 😉

Does the FeelThere version have accurate parking assignments (I guess not)?

I would also guess not. Unfortunately I’m unable to check for a while. Perhaps someone else can chime in?

The FeelThere scenery only wins by default, the minute something better comes along for KLAX I'm ditching this one and buying the other.

Repeating what was said above: Orbx Direct is currently cheaper than the marketplace for klax and klga. (A whole bunch of Australia airports and city scenery too at Orbx on sale, as the Oceana thread here mentioned).

Feel there is hit-or-miss but mostly miss lately.  I have RDU by them and it's passable for a low price.  Feel There KLAX is awful and I do not understand how anyone can say it's better than Asobo. Just my personal opinion.

I bought it and uninstalled it after an hour.  Even though this scenery came out in 2022 it depicts and older airport than stock Asobo.  It does not include the TBIT extension between 130 and 148 or the remote stand waiting area (at least not correctly and currently) Even though they were both built by 2020. For that reason alone I can't justify buying it.  but it gets worse. The piers on TBIT are located incorrectly and don't look right. Pier 148 is correct in Asobo version but completely absent from the Feel There version. The Feel There piers don't even display numbers.. and that's just TBIT.  Landside looks really bad,  They are no custom jetways.... Look carefully at screen shots the whole thing is terrible.

Why FSDT has not made this their #1 priority is beyond me.  By far one of the most sought after super-major airports out there (along with EHAM), and proclaimed to be an insta-buy by many (including me).

We just have to wait to see what dev wants to get rich on this one.  I bet FeelThere made some nice cash from this one.  I have it...its just OK as others have mentioned....missing many things and I have not really looked at the new default since the last US update...maybe it got some updates but the earlier version was bad IMO.

I bought FeelThere LAX since it was like 6 bucks through OrbX. It’s not absolutely amazing but it does perform a lot better on my PC than the handcrafted Asobo version does, and that alone was worth the price of admission for me.

I can't decide, I keep going back and forth between FeelThere and Asobo.

At the sale price, it's not worth agonizing over. Don't think. Just Feel.  FeelGood.
