I've seen some people mention that an alternative to reinstall can be to set graphics settings to default, reboot PC then reset settings. Can't remember if it was in this thread or elsewhere. Or delete the usercfg.opt. MSFS will rebuild on next start. Other people have uninstalled then reinstalled DirectX. Could be worth a try. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

Will give that a try first...thanks! In the meantime, I've backup up my Community folder in case a fresh install is necessary.

That's probably a good idea. Also it could be possible to backup the Official folder (for me it's currently 189GB). 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

In your MSFS folder i.e. same folder as where the community folder is located. The Official folder contains all the default aircraft and scenery that's installed with MSFS. So you can save a ton of time when re-installing MSFS. Just make sure that when you reinstall, you install into the folder where the Official folder is located. If he has the official folder in that path, when he reinstalls the sim he needs to reinstall in D:\MSFS, not in D:\MSFS\Official. Cpt_Piett was referring to the "Official" folder, not the Community folder. Cpt...I reset the graphics and did a reboot. Still no clouds and still at double runway at KDWU. I think my Steam install may be all jacked up. Edited July 28, 20223 yr by MNORM
