Idaho Bush Strips – Revisited

This tour features a return to a favorite bush flying region – The River of No Return Wilderness – in the rugged mountains of central Idaho.  Starting from McCall Municipal (a US Forest Service Smokejumper base) we head 17nm east to Krassel USFS – an airstrip on a bluff above the South Fork of the Salmon River.  The fully successful bush pilot will complete takeoff and landings at the 18 airstrips listed below after we return to our start point of McCall.

Aircraft

The route is 142nm a capable STOL aircraft will be required to land at the many challenging short airstrips.  I plan to fly the Monster NXCub  in the Ragin' Papaya  livery.
