....then why do you comment -repeatedly, and with basically the same point over and over - on my suggestion?

You seem threatened by someone elses ideas.

Or do you think I have a direct line to Jörg Neumann who is going to drop everything else they are working on to implement my suggestion?

It's like a guy who is not interested in a girl, but still calls her everyday to tell her.......he is not interested.

Chill out. This is just a forum 🥳

Personally, I wouldn't say no any new feature. I am not arrogant enough to think that what I find immersive is the be all and end all of what features should be released. One my favourite mods is the amazing global shipping mod which for me makes the sim more immersive, but doesn't do a thing for flight physics. Another persons favourite mod might be FSrealistic. I also want more bug fixes and updates to flight dynamics and weather. Nothing is mutually exclusive. If someone has paid money to buy the sim they are free to want any feature they want.

It would be great if one day, through official updates, or mods, we can all have the immersion we desire.

I've been buying PMDG products since they released their first addon for TRF.

What a ridiculously long thread.

I personally would only use such a feature when making YouTube clips,  or perhaps when I first got a new aircraft or airport,  but if other people like the idea, then go for it.

Same with realistic walk arounds. I personally would not want to be draining the fuel before each flight and holding it up to check for water etc etc but if someone wants to do all that in game then good for them.

I suspect much of the opposition comes from the fraternity that sees themselves as "proper" serious simmers who feel "game like" addons detract from their enjoyment of the sim even if they themselves do not use them. The fact that other people might use them somehow detracts from their feeling that they are using a "realistic" simulation (rather than just messing about wasting time on a PC.game)   I am not that way inclined myself.  If something in the sim does not appeal to me I just ignore it.

I probably will never fly the Top Gun aircraft or that Halo Pelican thing but if other people like them good for them.  If someone invented a mod that filled the airports with Kogal girls in Seifuku sailor suits, I would definitely not be downloading it but my daughter who loves the whole Japanese schoolgirl fashion thing just might.

I am sure the game will eventually have freeware downloads of everything from the Star Trek shuttle through to Harry Potter riding the Nimbus 2000.  Feasibly you could even get a quidditch pitch and play the game as Harry or Hermione,  though the bludgers would not be able to knock you off your broom due to the way MSFS collision models work.

Basically so long as it does not interfere with your game ignore it.  If the pelican appearing in multiplayer flights annoys you just uninstall it. It will just turn into a Bonanza or whatever with a weird FM.  It is not as if they are going to be showing up doing IFR in Vatsim,

Walk around is part of real world inspection. Clearly you need to attend flying 101 course 🤣

This.

And draining fuel should ideally be possible to. This is part of flight preparation and flight training, so why should it not be part of simulation? There is really not much gamelikeness in it. And if you don't want to do it, don't do it, it's a sim after all, so there very likely won't be water in your fuel.

It will be interesting to see how (or if) A2A simulates their aircraft walk around, as they did in FSX. While it was kind of superficial, it did add some degree of immersion.

As before it was discussed around launch time, just because you haven't seen anything on it doesn't make it any less wished for by players 🙂 so no, let's not move on, let's move with our legs 😉

Evidently you wish to keep this thread going forever. That will be up to the moderator, who will need to decide when this topic has been exhausted. While you obsess about walking around your plane, I suspect most of us will be flying ours.

I'm not obsessing, I don't even want this feature anytime soon as I agree there are more pressing matters to attend too in the near future. But I'm open minded to future advancements to the game, I'm open minded to wishes and desires of other community members even if I won't use them personally. It's a shame you're not but at least if/when walking is included be it by Devs or a modder you're free to not use the feature....Ok?!

How cool would it be if you could wake up at your house drive to the AP and walk onboard your AC!

I never said I was opposed to implementing walking-around in the sim. On the contrary, in an earlier post I said that I hope those who want it will get their wish. All I am questioning is the value of continuing of this discussion in perpetuity. Is there any?

If people want to talk about it why shouldn't they? You can just ignore the thread and stop clicking on it..
