Wow! So I wouldn't get much performance gain if I switch my 1080 Ti for a 3080 as I was thinking of doing.

If you go from a 1080ti to a 3080ti and run 4K resolution with ultra or near-ultra settings, you will see a performance increase.  I can't comment on DLSS as I don't run the SU10 beta, but you will see an increase simply related to the 2-generation advance in hardware.   Now, if you don't run 4K or do not run ultra or near-ultra on your settings, sure, I could see a lesser performance increase.  But since the 1080ti does 1080p and 2K so well, the whole point (for me) of buying a 2-gen later video card was to allow running a higher resolution and higher settings with no performance degradation.

I went from a 1080ti to a 3080ti and it did improve my framerate, to where I am now cpu-bound somewhat.

With the 1080ti I could run 4K decently, but it was not really ideal.  But at 2K or 1080p it was fantastic.  With the 3080ti I can run 4K with very high settings in SU9.  I'm hoping for a little bump with SU10 DLSS but if it doesn't happen, I'm still doing fine now.

Thanks a lot for the info, my Display is 2K (3440 x 1440) and I don't run the sim in Ultra. My CPU is a 9900K @ 5.1 with HT ON. I maybe use the system for a year or so and then upgrade RAM, mobo and GPU with latest gens so to have a balanced system. Thanks again for the feedback.

Can anyone check if the Offline ATC voices were fixed when giving take off clearance?

I've done 4 flights in the FBW experimental branch since the beta started, haven't noticed any issues on the flying side of the sim.

I have reported any scenery bugs I've noticed.

My cousin Vinny had a little talk with Nvidia about DLSS shamming. It must have worked because they promised to call him back, without him even having to call again!

Anyone else getting patches of grass on some runways and aprons with DX12?

I had that a couple weeks ago (with DX11). I had to reinstall of  MSFS and the issue went away. Some runways had a little grass, some none (KSFO), and some a lot of grass. Emptying Community did not help. I have no idea what the problem was, but reinstalling everything cured the issue.

I just tested DX12 mode using quality DLSS using a 3090 at 4K. Wow. Now this is what vulkan did for XP11. Smooth as butter. Now we have the sim that I was expecting 2 years ago! If they fine tune DX12 now we are Laughing….. brilliant stuff!

Interesting to hear that. I don't fancy joining the beta but I'm looking forward to seeing how this all works now that I have my 3090Ti and am beginning to get used to it.

Not seeing that much of a performance increase with DLSS. Still can't push LOD past 130 or else I get lots of stutters. Disappointed to say the least. Running 5800x, 3080.

This was tested around KSAN and KLAX in the FBW A320.

I have a 12700K/3080Ti. Currently trying out DX12 and DLSS Quality at 4K with TLOD at 245.  I flew into FT KMIA in the PMDG 737 and performance was superb. I am locked at 30 (1/2 monitor refresh rate), but FPS never dropped for even a second - and absolutely no stutters whatsoever. I did get both FPS fluctuations and stutters at the same airport in SU9.

However, VRAM consumption is high. I did not run out of VRAM, but it was at 98 percent after landing at KMIA.

Ok, finally gave DLSS a try, with DX12, and VSync 50% monitor refresh rate ( 30 fps in my case ).

Took the PMDG 737 for a ride and the performance was astounding, no stutters, FPS almost fixed at 30 all the time, with or without dense skies, over densely populated areas in Europe near the airports I visited also searching for Gusts...

I have a Ryzen 5600x, and a Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti ( 8 GB VRAM ) and am running on Win 11.

I'm seeing these missing runway pavement oddities at several airports including KBVS but without any under/overclocking etc. - anyone else seeing these?

I don't see any missing tiles, no white patches at KBVS.  DX12, DLSS, Beta patch. I saw lots of white tiles on runways before I toned down my CPU speed and at the same time reset my FCLK to exactly 1/2 of my Ram Speed setting. I'm not sure which helped. Or maybe it was a coincidence and something else entirely made the problem go away.

I noticed CPU temps in the high 90's when I had the problem. Now without the problem CPU temps are high 70's. Probably because I reduced CPU core speeds from 4.0 to 3.4 GB. The normal speed is 3.6 GB. I don't see any missing tiles at 3.6 either, but temps can go to the low 80s.
