Streamdeck Solutions

Recommended Posts

There are several Streamdeck solutions for MSFS… does anyone understand the differences? Has anyone tried more than one? What did you choose, but more importantly, why did you choose it?

Solutions I’ve seen…

  • Flight Tracker (free)
  • PilotDeck (free)
  • FlightDeck (pay)
  • AxisAndOhs (pay)
  • ???

(I will be flying the FBW 32NX and probably the Kodiak so something that can support these planes would be on my shortlist).

There's also Spad.Next (which is also pay).
I only 'chose' it because I was already using it to control my Logitech/Saitek panels. But it has quite a powerful and customisable interface for controlling Stream Decks. Maybe not as user friendly as AxisAndOhs, but definitely very flexible and great at controlling complicated setups (I have 3 Stream Decks that interact with each other, in addition to all the Logitech panels).

If you want to control knobs and switches etc you'll need Axis and Ohs and there is also a download for the Kodiak on Flightsim.to (not sure about Spad or FlightDeck). However since I started using FSFO Next my Co-Pilot does all the work and I just insert the SID and STAR and fly the aircraft. 😉

Thanks. The only knobs and switches I have are on the Honeycomb Bravo... but I may need to think about something for those.

I am using Axis and Ohs.
But I have some trouble with the scripts by @guenseli for the Fenix. I updated all script / applications but still can’t get it to work properly.

A32nx always worked fine for me.

Sorry to hear, but it is not the fault of the scripts, otherwise they wouldn't work on my device.

Check if you run as admin, correct port settings. One main issue most users have, is, that they do not use the latest versions of AAO or the SD plugin (or often haven't installed the plugin 🙄

And, as you write that "A32NX always worked fine", be sure you do not use FBW profile with Fenix!!!

Sure. I have the profile for the Fenix separate.
Ports should also be ok as the FBW is still working.
I updated everything. So I am a bit out of ideas at the moment. Will post a Screenshot when I am on my pc later on.

Spad.next implements Streamdeck quite well IMO.  For knobs-o-plenty, I bought a Behringer X-Touch mini, which also works well with Spad.next.  Very satisfied with all of the above.

Uninstalled everything (not just reimporting the Profiles etc) and now it works 🙂

So +1 for A&O + @guenseli Scripts 😉

Hi Chris, I actually meant the knobs and switches in the cockpit

I'm using the Elgato 15 button version and it works fine on the FENIX for me.

I have both a 15 button and a 32 button streamdeck

My preference is:

Axis and Ohs + guenseli scripts (huge thanks to guenseli for working out the necessary variables)

Flight Tracker for its push button radio frequency function

I also have Spad.Next but tend to use that for other hardware.

After watching a YouTube video on how to use an XtouchMini for the FBW A320 AP controls, I’m sold on Axis and Ohs - and @guenseli scripts. I’ve ordered an Xtouch and will be trying that out. The Streamdeck will do other duties and I’ll either use Flight Tracker, AaO, or both for that.

Thanks to everyone here for helping steer me in a new direction.

I'll chime in as a +1 for SPAD.next..

I've used FlightDeck (which was fine to get started with my Stream Deck) and Flight Tracker. If I only needed to control the Deck than I'd have probably stopped there. But SPAD allows me to build profiles that span all of my peripherals (Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo, Stream Deck, XTouch Mini, etc).
