You must FIRST uninstall the SDK SP1 using Add-Remove Programs.Next, install the original SDK from DVD#1 of the Deluxe Edition. Finally, you may now install the SDK SP1a, which will (a) remove the original SDK and then (:( install the new SDK SP1a files.

I'm pretty sure I installed SDK SP1a directly over SDK SP1 and it worked/works well. I did re-run ConfigSDK.exe in the SDK's root directory as I do not have the SDK at the default location.Regarding the traffic tool box, you need to edit the dll.xml file in your c:documents and settingsapplication datamicrosoftfsx directory. My entry for the traffic toolbox looks like this:Traffic ToolboxFalseFalseE:FSX-SDKSDKEnvironment KitTraffic Toolbox SDKtraffictoolbox.dllSiggy

Hi Siggy,Yes it was the actual .exe was not working, but I went and removed it from the add and remove program and it worked. However I still cannot see it in the menu in the add-ons.I looked in the dll and the path is correct, the SDK was installed under the program filesmicrosoft gamesFSXFSX SDK.I even went to copy the SDK under my FSX file which is C:FSXFSX SDK, and changed the dll to reflect the same path, but still no luck, I have no idea what am I doing wrong now.Any help will be appreciated.ThanksWalouigi

>Hi Siggy,>Yes it was the actual .exe was not working, but I went and>removed it from the add and remove program and it worked. You do NOT use the "Add and Remove Programs" to install the SDK SP1a executable...Open an Explorer Window and navigate to wherever you have the SP1a .exe file. Double-click on the filename to begin the installation.Install the SDK to wherever you want it to be. You should not "move" stuff manually at all, since that will screw up the Registry entries.IOW, install the original SDK from DVD1 of FSX to something like C:FSX_SDK to begin with. Now, install the SDK SP1a to the same path...Now edit your dll.xml to use that same path...

Did you run ConfigSDK.exe ? You should do this when the SDK is installed to a location other than the default it comes up with.Siggy
