I own Pilot2ATC, FS HUD, and now PROATCSR for MSFS. I purchased each of these (in order shown above) to improve on the default ATC, as well as getting close to the ATC experience I am used to in P3D (with PROATCX). I purchased FS HUD, because I wasnt quite happy with aspects of Pilot2ATC. I purchased PROATCSR because of prior knowledge of the product (in P3D) but also, because there are aspects of FS HUD that I'm not quite happy with. It may take me a few days to really dig into PROATCSR to know what has carried over from the P3D versions (that are appropriate in MSFS), and is lacking (due to differences between P3D and MSFS), Then I hope to be able to write up a summary of positive and negative aspects of each of the products. How is Pilot2ATC if you use voice commands? I hear the navigational data is not up to date with Pilot2ATC, so you have you get a one month subscription to Navigraph to download the latest data? (and maybe you can cancel your subscription after you get the Navigraph data for Pilot2ATC?) i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
August 10, 20223 yr From the outside it would appear that a lot of people are using multiple apps to help improve ATC within the sim. Not an ideal situation as that would appear to open the door for potential conflicts if they don't play nicely. Is there not one app that does it all? Genuine question. I do wonder if MS will give us any info on what their plans with ATC are, as they have said they have essentially handed it over to WT as a project if I remember correctly? My current solution is to just ignore ATC entirely, which is also not ideal. I do also wonder how they will play with potential traffic addons like the Just flight one that appears to be coming along quite nicely at the moment? Anthony Milner

You mean an add-on that provides realistic IFR and VFR ATC communication for both the user and the AI, and also regularly updates the MSFS global navdata as Navigraph does, and makes the AI fly realistic IFR and VFR routes between airports, as well as provide better AI plane models and liveries for all major airlines in the world (and I would assume all liveries need to have permission from the respective airlines if the add-on is sold as a commercial product). You either need an army of enthusiasts or a huge pile of cash to start building such an add-on.

No, there isn't but also no, they won't conflict because you can't use them together. It's either one or the other (or the other or the other). People who are 'using' multiple apps simply own various apps because none of them is really 'it'. They all have problems and drawbacks.

Also happy to have an AI addon for models and Traffic. For me an IFR ATC that also interacts with other AI traffic would do fine for me. VFR Traffic control would be nice, but not overly necessary for me personally. My Assumption for VFR traffic it would probably just be flying outside of controlled airspace from A - B and then joining a circuit to land...actually maybe a little more complex to do that I initially thought when I think about it a bit. For the natural voice side of things I think technology is moving quite quickly (in general terms, I am not sure how expensive it would be for a producer to purchase it/use it on their product), but hopefully that will improve in time.
