Pilot Monitoring Callouts (PMCO) for Fenix A32X

Featured Replies

Hi everybody,

for some time now I have been working on a new version of PMCO, specifically for the Fenix A320 add-on on the MSFS platform.
PMCO is a freeware FSUIPC plugin written in a programming language called Lua, that dynamically plays the callouts of the pilot monitoring (PM), mainly during takeoff and rollout.
This is more or less a port over from an older version, which was written for another popular A320 add-on on the FSX/Prepar3D platform.

Before sharing it with the wider public, I would like to ask some volunteers to beta test the plugin.

If you...
- own Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS)
- own the paid version of FSUIPC 7 (sorry, the free version doesn't work)
- own the Fenix A320 add-on
- are willing to test this plugin, even if bugs are possible (maybe even likely)
- are kind enough to let me know what works and what does not work
...then you might be a candidate for this beta test.

I have put up some videos in a YouTube playlist to demonstrate what it looks like (in my sim).

So, I will shortly wrap up some beta files with install instructions and provide them here in this thread, if technically possible.

cheers,
NiIs U.

hey nils , great news i used the PMCO with the FSLabs all the time

ROG Crossair Hero X670e , 9900X, TUF 4090 , X4 NVME's. OS  2TB 980 Pro , MSFS  2TB WD Black , Kington Fury 64GB ram ( 6000) Corsair RM1000 PSU, Artic Freezer iii 360 AIO  . Phanteks P600s Case ,TCL QM8B 50" 120 Hz  TV,second 24 inch screen for charts you tube etc, and 11" touch screen for the EFB. Warthog Stick and TCA Captains throttle ( full pack)  Velocity 1 Rudder Pedals , extreme3D for the Tiller,Streamdeck XL x2 / Streamdeck +/Streamdeck mini because i like pressing buttons

Excellent, I'm far from my computer but I would be happy to test it in September if possible.

Is the approach/landing sequence planned as well?

Nice to hear.

It's basically the same, except you have to enter the V-speeds manually at this time.

If I find ways to read them from the aircraft (off the EFB for example) this might change in the future.

PMCO for the Fslabs was quite popular, with pretty high download numbers, more than I expected. I've mainly created this for myself, now and back then. But why not share it with the community? Let's see what the interest is like, this time.

Of course. Haven't you seen my exceptional landing skills in the third video? 😆 The link is a playlist consisting of three demo videos.

I have a better time simming now than I had back then. So I'm not missing all that much. GSX seems close, that's the final piece for me. It was good while it lasted.

Hi, Nils! So good to see you here on the other side of the P3D/MSFS bridge I have also finally walked through.
I loved your PMCO with my FSLabs buses and I love flying Fenix now, of course missing your add-on.
Unfortunately I have not bought FSUIPC7, as I don't need it. I hope maybe one day your PMCO may work outside of it (?).
All the best with it and with everything else! 🖐️😊

Hi Nils,

Thanks for the videos. Thet look great! I check all the boxes above and would welcome the opportunity to help you test it. Please let me know.

Unfortunately I can't edit the opening post any longer. 😢

This is the google drive link to the beta version I've been testing for some time now. Install instructions are included in the zip file.

Have fun and please report any problems or findings. Thank you.

Hi Rafal, I knew we would meet here again. 🤗

PMCO - the way it was developed - is depending on FSUIPC. It's building the bridge between the sim and the aircraft's variables to any Lua plugins. I would't even know where to start to build that bridge myself. It is highly unlikely that PMCO will one day work standalone without FSUIPC.

I need to see the part where it shows what aircraft.cfg was loaded. It's earlier in the log. Best you send me the whole log. You can remove the credentials.

Fenix A320 was not detected for any reason.

Important additional information if you want to test PMCO:

During installation of FSUIPC you need to make sure to select to install the WASM module:

spacer.png

Following this advice, there should be a folder called "fsuipc-lvar-module" in your MSFS community folder after FSUIPC installation.

With FSUIPC running, you can check if the WASM module is enabled like this:

spacer.png

If the WASM module is installed and enabled, the PMCO plugin should start as described, by keeping one of the MCDU PERF buttons pushed.

Yeah, I agree, this is somewhat cumbersome. 🤪 but this is done only once and after that, it SHOULD work. If not, please keep reporting. Thank you!

cheers,
NiIs U.
