Seen it but it doesn't change my point. 😉 The truth is that right now no one knows what the exact problem is. Time will tell.

What a ridiculous analogy, not even worth discussing.

Morning Bob. So far I have had no CTD’s since I installed GSX on Friday. What has your experience been with the product so far?

That's not necessarily true

I get there are exceptions but let's face it, a vast majority of pushbacks are nose right, signal on left and vice versa.  Why not program it for that and let the edge cases be screwy.

On the specific issue of CTDs, there are various possibilities here and we'll only know more facts once the dust settles. But I suppose one of those possibilities is: something recently (and unfortunately timed for GSX) on the MSFS server-side increased the possibilities of CTDs under a certain set of conditions.. With GSX installed and being used, one or more of those conditions are met, maybe even very frequently... so therefore GSX users see CTDs frequently, and also stop seeing them when uninstalling GSX. That's just *one* of many possibilities, just throwing it out there.

Another possibility is that something in MSFS recently started CTDs, and completely separately from that GSX of its own is also causing CTDs too, so two separate and unrelated problems.

Had GSX when I flew P3D. Not at all interested in it anymore. I like flying, and don't have the time watching fuel being loaded,  food trucks unloading, passengers lining up, etc, etc. Waste of time as far as I am concerned. I just want to preflight, taxi out, and take off....

You're not into airline pilot simulation, are you?  That is where GSX fits best.  I do exclusively airline simulation using APLv2 and PACX, so GSX is a must have for me, as it was in P3D where I used the game, no sorry the sim, as I do now in MSFS.

All I fly now , and for the last month or two is the Fenix A 320.  I like to keep my flights to about 1-1/2 hours, and do multiple flights a day. I fly for a VA and that is where I do all my flights. First flight I start at a gate. From then on, I start on the runway. I have zero use for GSX. I can start a flight in less than 10 minutes. I don't need to pretend I am a real airport. Right now I am in the middle of my second flight in the Fenix, and probably will do one more before the day is over.

That's a very good idea Bob 🤔

I like the entire ritual of setting up the flight because once you're at altitude it's pretty much using the autopilot until it's time for descent.  I love having my flights scored and APLv2 is pretty good for that.

Is that one of those apps where they tell you what aircraft to fly. My VA lets you fly any aircraft you want to. I have flown C-310, Kodiak, Fenix, etc.....I dislike having someone tell me I must fly this aircraft, which I may not even like.

Apparently GSX for MSFS has also broken a perfectly working P3D GSX installation.

http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,26671.0.html

and now they need to create a new installer to fix this.

http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,26750.0.html

So much for beta testing - you broke your OWN product, and no one noticed.. I mean, it's not an edge case we're talking about here - having P3D installed alongside MSFS (and XP for that matter) is very common for many simmers - your core audience. And the same simmers that installed GSX for P3D are the most likely to buy GSX for MSFS. But apparently FSDT did not think of this scenario and ended up breaking both products.

Oh well whatever, I've uninstalled it from P3D and MSFS and won't be coming back.

Thankfully, no it isn't.  Here's an example how it works--I'm in this flight right now:

The Schedule I selected is associated w/ the airline company I'm employed by, and they come from actual routes for that specific airline and there are a variety of schedules you generate until you find one you can live with, and it may contain 10 flights or so, where you determine the general range (short/med/long) or varieties of all three.  I was initially employed by Endeavor, then American, and now United--this took a few months to get to an airline I was happy with the variety of routes and planes used.  You can't be hired by an airline if you don't own license(s) for planes in their fleet.  Fortunately, the license you purchase covers all variants for that model.  So for now, I own B78, CRJ-700 and B737 licenses, which are purchased from funds earned by flying.

One you start a Flight from the current active Schedule, you hit the SimBrief export, and get this--note under Aircraft, we have CRJ7.  The Schedule actually calls for B737, but you can change it to whatever you wish, so you can fly any plane, even ones you don't have a license for:

At the end of your flight you will be scored according to this set of criteria:

It's biggest weakness for me is you can only work for one airline at a time, so for a while, will be 'stuck' with the routes that airline covers.  The workaround is you can purchase "Flight Tickets" and fly any airline, anytime, if you care to break out of your current schedule.  I did this yesterday and wanted to do LGAV (Athens) to LSZH (Zurich) for a change and get out of the US United routes.

I wish you could skip the Pilot and Crew boarding. Like I'm in the cockpit already.
