GSX PRO is out

SU9 works perfectly with GSX. It is very likely that SU10 beta is not fully compatible with GSX. Both will have to be patched to no longer have a CDT.

I've had zero crashes with GSX on SU10, and people are crashing and having issues on SU9 as well.

There are also people who get CTD's with SU9 without GSX. It's a mess. 😉 I had three prefect flights with SU9 (and no GSX) today in the Fenix A320 with FSHud. Just like I had perfect flights ever since my odd CTD's in June.

If you use the add-on linker, start it and temporarily add ALL of your payware airports that have their own jetways before you go into the FSDT installer and run exclude 3rd party airports. If they aren't in your community folder when you do it, they won't be found.

It does. It works fine. It's not supposed to replace custom jetways of third party airports, that's why you have to exclude them. GSX still controls the jetways and all that stuff, it's only not replacing or adding jetways to third party sceneries.

You are probably thinking of P3D where GSX could replace jetways of 3rd party airports, but this was only done with manual changing / deleting of files and SODE. This will be possible again when SODE arrives for MSFS, but until then you don't need the GSX jetways for custom airports who already have their own jetways.

Thanks a lot for your help, I just excluded all the third party airports from the config and works like charm now!

Although it is in the manual (to be honest I just skipped through the manual and didn't read it in details), will be nice if this is added to some sort of FAQ somewhere

It also won't detect all third party airports. I believe the dev said the installer looks for the ICAO code in the file names. If the installer doesn't find the ICAO code it won't be seen and excluded.

Got my gate how I liked it with the Latin VFR KSAN scenery, moved the plane in a better position and moved around the ground equipment for a more realistic location. I have turned off after stairs at the gate, and dont know why the emergency exit and the rear exist opens when boarding passengers on the PMDG737-700. Anyways everthying else went well then when it came to pushback the tug disappears but the tow bar still there and the wing walker is floating next to the plane while its been pushed back until it stops the pushback and the tug returns and the walker decides to walk this time. Anyone else notice this too?

He already put a disclaimer on the top that he was wrong and it was not GSX that caused CTDs ... so there's that.

True and Good to know!

Still gonna hold off on this one till some of the issues are ironed out!

Wonder if it’s going to eventually sell in the Marketplace?

Ok now I'm getting the no valid afcad error, and I haven't even done anything other than install some airport configs.

Edit: now it randomly stopped.

Only as a model package, since GSX relies on an external process (like the Fenix), which means Marketplace (and XBox) is a no-go.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Okay after using it for the today, I was lucky enough not to encounter any CTDs, however I was only taking short flight like 1hour or so.

However, it does have some annoying bugs, like after pushback while disconnecting the pin, the plane will jump (happens on both Fenix and PMDG). Sometimes the the luggage trucks will run over the other GSX trucks. Sometimes the follow me car will just go to the opposite direction and comeback .. etc.

Therefore, despite those bugs I mentioned above which I am sure they will be fixed sooner or later, I think is unfair to say GSX Is a disaster release or whatever. I think the main issue is mainly operational issue or not reading the manual. For example I didn't know that I needed to exclude third party airports in order to render the jetways correctly, if I have the read the manual probably, I would have known that.

Should probably issue a retraction of the article as well... Now it's just click bait then you get there and it's like oops GSX wasn't the issue my bad... LOL

seems to be just an issue with those planes, the default airliners and the FBW A320 don't do that.

Just found something interesting with GSX in SU10. I was flying earlier today and had the new GSX jetways at the default airports. I finished a flight this afternoon, shutdown MSFS and my computer and went out for a couple of hours. When I got back, I started a flight at KBWI (a modified version I made playing around in the SDK with a newer layout that has runway 15R/33L and gets rid of 4/22) and it had the regular Asobo jetways in it. This morning, I had the GSX ones.

I tried a couple of things, but nothing worked. It was then that I remembered that SU10 has a "Package Reorder Tool" in it. I went into the Experimental menu and activated the tool. Sure enough, the entry for my KBWI was below the entry for fsdreamteam-gsx-world-of-jetways. I clicked the little up arrow next to my airport, and it moved above the GSX entry in the list. The GSX entry at the very bottom, gives it the highest priority. When restarted my flight, I had the GSX jetways again.

I looked at content.xml to see if it did anything there, and it did. The 4 lines below are the entire contents of the file. It doesn't look anything like it used to.

<Priorities>
    <Package name="mjascenery-airport-kbwi-baltimore" priority="1"/>
    <Package name="fsdreamteam-gsx-world-of-jetways" priority="2"/>
</Priorities>

If your having problems getting GSX to replace the jetways at a customized airport that uses the default Asobo jetways, you might want to try this.
