Thank you, I'm hesitating to install it on a brand new config which I intend to keep impecable.

In that case I would certainly wait a while longer.

There have been a few updates since release.

PYREEGUE have released an official GSX Profile for EGAA

Yes and there's already an update from Pyreegue and you have to edit a bgl file. I've got goodness knows how many third party airports and honestly can't be bothered with this any more. I prefer to spend my time flying rather than spending all my time editing files and trying to keep track of all the updates. Utter nonsense for the princely sum of thirty quid.

I dropped 32 custom GSX profiles into my GSX folder and none of them required edits, so if Pyreegue's does, that's an exception, not the rule.

Well I guarantee that a lot of them will have been updated (for some reason) so you are going to have to do it all again. Good luck keeping track.

GSX needs to include a utility which examines the community folder and downloads the necessary profiles as the become available.

There's literally a function in flightsim.to that lists all your downloads that have been updated.

You guys that sticked with GSX after the difficult start, can you tell me if there has been any update since ?

Well, GSX only links 2 of it's folders into the community folder, so there is no risk to the sim. The rest the program sits off to the side in it's own folder, safely away from your sim (Unless you choose to install it inside of one of the sim's folders, which I suggest you do not do).

It's FSDT. Yes, there have been updates, and yes, there will be many more. Frequently. Umberto is a machine. He never sleeps.

Well I'm glad you like the addon. For me it's too much hassle just to see some badly animated automatons wobbling towards the plane. And my %addons% folder is hidden so there that as well...

You don't have to edit anything and surely no .bgl, at least try to read what Pyreguee wrote, would you?

Also as you probably already read 20 times you don't need any of those flightsim.to files at all, GSX works out of the box with all functions on every 3rd party airport (except marketplace for now).

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Ok, so normally GSX would be a product I would be picking up on launch day, but this time I've been sitting on the fence. I've heard that the launch was a bit rocky, and mainly that GSX caused CTD. Are there currently any known issues with GSX that a potential buyer should be aware?

GSX doesn't cause CTD. it was an MSFS issue. It just doesn't work very well with 3rd party addons.
