been out of the loop... can anyone fill me in on what new features it's going to bring over the 700?

A longer fuselage, that's it!

There are changes to cockpit lighting and sun blinds being applied to all models shortly after the launch of the 800. Nothing else yet.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

I hope this means after release that less resources are spent on the 900 and moved over to the 777 effort.

Ahh, the pictures of the 737-800 on Facebook now. Remniscent of the day PMDG released the 737-700, when PMDG posted various pictures of the 737-700 on Facebook, from parked, to taxi, to takeoff. Does that mean the 737-800 is coming today?

It's how they generate social media awareness. Also gets it hyped up, which further spreads awareness.  Really smart, if you ask me, that's exactly what I would do if I ran PMDG's marketing team.

That’s exactly why I’m happy and will just stay with the -700.

Yea, I would not be surprised if it launches later today. PMDG tend to like mid-week launches from what I recall.  This is the one many people have been waiting for!

MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

So PMDG has put up the page for the 800 on their website.  Nice, the 800 is selling for 9,999,999 USD 🤣

Just like all the other PMDG releases for MSFS 😁

If you're warming up your credit card to buy, a reminder to disable your popup blocker on the PMDG website to avoid frustration with the purchase process.

Intel Core i5-12600k, Nvidia RTX 4070 Super, 128 Gigs.

I think the -800 release will slam the PMDG server harder then the -700 release.
