So, how do I start?

I've written a guide in the tips and tricks subforum that might help.

I only started using Reshade recently because it looked too complicated.

@MrBitstFlyer I would be interested to see the guide you used to install reshade in msfs, I just can't get it to work following different ones. I have store version by the way.

Are you able to start MSFS without ReShade?

Has anyone been been able to get it working with dx12, or does it not support dx11?

Yep, it starts normally if I use the normal shortcut rather than the bat.

I had to manually edit my .bat file. Open it in notepad and make sure the path is correct.

Thanks, but I have no idea what the path should be, I have never used these bats before.

Are you using a MSFS Steam version?

No, the store version. Official and community stored on a separate drive, but assume the rest in the default location.

I see. Do you run the .bat file as admin?

I tried normally and as admin. I appreciate your help here.

This is the contents of my .bat file:

cd C:\ReShadeUWP-MSFS2020
inject.exe "FlightSimulator.exe" | powershell Start-Process -filepath explorer.exe  shell:appsFolder\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App

I guess another thing to check is if the name of your MSFS startup folder corresponds with the name in the .bat. For me it's:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe

Ahh, mine is different...

cd %UserProfile%\ReshadeInjectUWP
inject64.exe "FlightSimulator.exe" | powershell Start-Process -filepath explorer.exe shell:appsFolder\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App

Not sure how it can be different with the same download...

Nevermind, I think I edited my .bat file as I don't ReShade in my user folder. The important thing is to check that the folder name in the .bat file corresponds with the actual MSFS folder name. And that you have the ReShadeInjectUWP folder in your user folder.
