August 24, 20223 yr After upgrading to the latest version that supports DX12, I am also noticing a more magenta hue in the picture. It was absolutely perfect before the upgrade. EDIT: Moving this slider to the left seems to have removed the tint: Edited August 24, 20223 yr by espent // 5800X3D // RTX 3090 // 64GB RAM // HP REVERB G2 //
August 24, 20223 yr Reshade was working perfectly until yesterday (August 23) when it started producing a solid black screen. Turning off Reshade thru the settings/end key brings MSFS back to the screen and everything then works normally. Turning Reshade back on produces a black screen again - all within the same MSFS session. Any thoughts? I've also had the screen turn red and other graphical glitches. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

If it's like the HDR issue in SU10, you may not only have to go to window mode but actually resize it or move it to get it to correct it's imaging issues.
August 24, 20223 yr I did study some psychology modules , including cognitive, at hogwarts, a few years back. Iff i recall right color perception difference is suprisingly large between peolple (especially red/green for some reason, but all colors generally) But most of that is literally perceptual color encoding.. Emotinal perception of color is underestimated imo. I know that is sort of trivial regarding msfs2020 but emotional encoding/perception does enter into color but also clouds and scenerey and such,, and thought it might be helpful that we are at least aware of this when threads with visuals are posted. And they do suprisingly often. One point i would say is dont underestimate subjectivity with visual posting threads, although of course it is mainly objective. i think

Agree. I recently learned that HDR is not activated unless one moves the window. Just resizing it doesn't help. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

And also perhaps to remember the old adage, that beauty is in fact in the eye of the beholder. By the way, you went to Hogwarts? I'm confused. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g186338-i17-k9940315-Is_the_Hogwarts_School_of_Wizardry_a_real_place_in_England-London_England.html 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
August 24, 20223 yr yes hogwarts, trip advisor smash 😊 .'beauty is in fact in the eye of the beholder', has, to a extent, been proven correct in psychology experimental research. Can be perceptual or emotional filters, . Night lighting and cloud threads are definately two examples of this, look at the emotions but also objectivity they drive. Which is good. color is the mothertongue of the subconscious... carl jung tbh I dont have a freakin clue what that means , but is sounds good Edited August 24, 20223 yr by icewater5

My monitor is calibrated monthly, so I know any Reshade Filters I use are not being used to correct incorrect settings with the monitor itself. I have just started testing using Reshade in MSFS, well the FinalLight profile and ReshadeInjectUWP as I dont think the Rehade program itself works on the MS Store version. Regarding calibration I fully agree, I am a landscape photographer and my monitors are hardware calibrated every 2 weeks using a DataColor Spyder Pro device. Makes even the default MSFS look so much better. It does however have a slight warm tint and the FinalLight profile helps remove the yellow look. Is very subtle on my calibrated display. Ive just added a Lumasharpen.fx which I hope works in MSFS. I did briefly use Reshade in Prepar3D so can see its benefits. New to this thread also so have to finish reading through it. Chris Ibbotson It does work and I can automatically run the .bat with the addon linker. You have to follow the video I posted in the other thread. MSFS

Yes indeed I meant the installable version of Reshade doesn't work on MS Store version from what I've read. I once attempted to take control of the Windows apps folder, possibly through the Take Ownership bat file which normally works great but it made it impossible to start the sim. Tried restoring privileges but had to end up wiping my system. Won't be messing with that folder again. August 27, 20223 yr I'm so glad I picked up the Steam version and not the Store version when it comes to ReShade. What a faff to have it running over there. August 27, 20223 yr Default works well here only used reshade in P3D because it was horrible without it. Running i5-9600K @ 4.8ghz - 32GB DDR4 3200mhz - GTX 3070.
