Eaglesoft Citation XLS+ for P3DV4/5

Super duper! I would recommend at least one SPIFR aircraft, as a nice balance between the complexities of the multi-crew exquisites you have now on offer. Phenom 300E is a good example! And especially as the PC24 is already covered. 🤩😎

No, LM P3DV4/5😎

@N400QW Why not develop for MSFS? Are there any advantages to developing for P3Dv4/5 specifically?  P3D v4x is EOL and v5 has been out for some time. Also, if pricing will be more or less the same as in prior versions, it seems to me it makes more sense for a business to develop a program that will be useful to more users (eg. a new generation in the consumer market vs aviation students in a niche market) for a longer period of time.

Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space.
Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

  • MSFS 2020 is not quite up to the level of capability that Prepar3D is.  Because they want it to run on an XBox, it has a great deal of limitations.
  • MSFS 2020 isn't quite as safe for commercial products with regards to IP theft.

Sorry, but why would developers such as PMDG, Milviz, Flysimware and others invest in developing and sell programs for MSFS?

Eh, ESDG is just out of touch and far behind. They're just now starting to develop for a 64-bit platform that came out five years ago, so it's not surprising they have outdated views of MSFS as well. Eaglesoft used to be great back in the day, and it's sad to watch their decline over these last few years.

OK folks, this is a P3D forum, and a topic on development of a P3D aircraft.  If you want to debate ESDG's marketing and development decisions w/r/t MSFS, please go to Eaglesoft's forums and do it there.

Many thanks Bob, we appreciate the "re railing" of the topic.😎

@N400QW Beta testing is going well?

I curious to see the Challenger thereafter 🙂

XLS+ Beta Testing is proceeding well and CX750 and C605 will follow.

Can they not go the Fenix route and make a product for P.C. that runs processes  externally outside of MSFS? You don't have to cater to the Marketplace or Xbox to sell a product for MSFS. I would think a product like this would do fairly well on both platforms of P3D and MSFS even without the Xbox crowd.

I will look into this approach and see what is/isn't possible.  Best I can offer.

We are not considering some "roundabout approach" to MSFS such as you've outlined above. We may look into it at some point, but our plates are full for the near future.
