Those blurries are killing me.

Okay, I suggest you forward this demo flight to tell-fs@microsoft.com or directly to Phil Taylor because that appears to be a good test case to reproduce the problems.Christian

>I'm also puzzled by the fact that you stick with FS-X RTM. Not>trying out SP1 or Tileproxy. What are you affraid off?>Perhaps I'm not interested in devoting too many hours to simming at the moment...Besides, who cares if someone supposeably pointed out "all these blurries" in my FSX shots. FS9 still looks like a blurry heap of crap in comparison! :-lol Many regards,L.Adamson

Larry,Why don't you try out the testflight thats posted here and try to do something positive to get this problem fixed.Sticking your fingers in your ears and continuing mindless FS-X cheerleading doesn't help us with the problems posted here. This is not the FS-X/FS-9/X-Plane/Flightgear is the greatest debate. I hoped we left those senseless discussions behind us.

This saved flight doesnt cause the same symptoms for one of our testers. Yes, he sees some blurries, but FSX does not "give up" because if one pauses the textures load. His machine spec was:CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz2046MB RAMRadeon X1900 SeriesHe both tried with his current fsx.cfg and with deleting the fsx.cfg and "resetting defaults" to change the settings.Even so, we are investigating further to see if this gives us a repro for Type 2 blurries, ignoring the giving up part.

Note, if our tester changes texture resolution from 2m to 5m, the textures keep up.

Yes, the texture keep up a little more with 5m textures. Ask the tester to turn off the auto gen, and keep the 2m textures. They will keep up also.Oh yes, Phil can you confirm this : "Something interesting to try. The FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION seems to be dysfunctional in FSX. Try changing from 0.01 to 0.33 to 0.70 to 0.90. Nor blurries or FPS are going to change. Maybe something in the Fiber Frame Time Fraction was accidentally broken ?" Look at this post for more details : http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=406033&page=

By disabling autogen you postpone the arrival of blurries, in my case. Finallly it does come, especially turning near mountain edges and or land/water edges. The blurries become worse if you enable little bit of everything (slight autogen, slight trafiic, glass cockpit etc) Even if I were to believe the statement that there is no hardware that will run fsx with full sliders right, atleast there should be some hardware that will run it without blurries with full sliders left but with all features enabled(little bit of everything). I dont think there is such a hardware either.

Yes, with 5m textures, they keep up... but that is sacrificing a lot!At 5m, the roads all have sawtooth edges. Then, I might as well stay with FS9, 1 Gig of memory and my old 128 Meg video card..It is the great 2m textures that make FSX shine !
