No sound in Pimax 8kx headset from P2atc

Featured Replies

I was using the HP Reverb g2 for x-plane 11 with Pilot2ATC and it worked great.  Now that I changed over to the Pimax 8kx, I get no audio from Pilot2ATC anywhere... the x-plane sounds function fine but P2ATC does not seem to play through the headset or anywhere.

After playing around with a flight, it's actually not just P2A, but some other add on sounds don't play, like my copilot, and world traffic.... but zibo sounds work and xplane sounds work.

FIXED..... ok this seems to be  PIMAX thing so anyone with a Pimax needs to know this.... With Pimax you have to set sounds to 7.1 surround in order for the sound to work at ALL.... but apparently (which they DON'T tell you) you need to go into the sound settings and disable ALL the extra speakers and only leave the two that make any sounds, so it's a custom configuration of the 7.1 surround, using only 2 speakers.  Then all the sounds returned that were missing.

Dude! This saved what was left of my frazzled brain. It was driving me nuts not being able to hear anything on Vatsim while hearing absolutely everything in MSFS. I truly appreciate you posting this.
