Just got a new update to SU10 beta 1.27.18.0

Featured Replies

Also there was in fact different versions for Steam users and other users. Good to have that confusion cleared up:

“Yesterday we pushed out a new update (1.27.18.0) to all platforms including Xbox, OneStore, and Steam. However, Steam users have noted that they are now on 1.27.19.0. This was due to a small error on our end but note there are minimal code differences between .18 and .19 and the build numbers will even out upon full public release of Sim Update 10. We apologize for the confusion. As we investigate this error, if any changes need to be made to the Steam build we will let you know promptly.”

Quick update: After completing a flight successfully in DX12, I switched back to DX11, deleted the shader cache and tried again in DX11.

My test flight worked under DX11. Stable, solid, and smooth. No issues whatsoever.

Hi,

Since the 1.27.18.0 update I'm having a lot of CTDs at the starting of MSFS 2020.

I'm back to DX11, but the CTDs persist.

I don't know what to do.

Regards.

Same experience here, I didn't have any CTD on previuos beta SU10 builds. And they can happen at any time, at launch screen, on the ground, after taking off....I haven't finish any of 4 trips I have started.

Sounds like a reoccurrence of what happened on the day GSX released?

Guys, try flushing your shaders. I'm 99% sure that's what fixed mine.  Press windows key, type "disk". Run "disk cleanup". Select your C drive. In the list that pops up, select the box next to DirectX Shader cache. Unchecked the options for anything you do not want to delete. Click Ok. Done.

I did 3 short flights (>1.5 hrs) after flushing the shader cache yesterday and had no problems whatsoever. 27.18 runs better than 12.17. I found it particularly noticeable in the Fenix. For the 1st time ever, it felt just as smooth and responsive as the 737. No stutters anywhere.

Lol - I forgot the landing gear 🤣

Why does it always happen on the perfect landings??? 😄

5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX  9070XT.

So what is the best way to see what CTDs are like:

1. Use shaders

2  Use DX12

Both 1 and 2...

😉

Hi,

Now, I'm using DX11, and I'm having continuous CTDs. It's not the shaders and it's not DX12 either, it's the last update (1.27.18.0).

Withdraw from the beta. Otherwise, no.

It’s a reverse of the process you would have used to “opt in”. If you took no action to opt in to SU10 beta no action needed to opt out because you never were “in” in the first place!😁
