New Zealand, it can't be sand dunes.

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,I've searched this out a bit without any really good answer. Since I now got an ATR for FSX I decided to do some Air New Zealand link flight. Out of Auckland today I mostly got for lack of a better term "Sand Dunes" with little green vegetation spots. I think it needs to be a bit greener, but I could be wrong. Any fix for this?? I got sliders 3/4 of the way to the right except for traffic and Autogen. FSG mesh if that matters. Thanks in Advance!!

I bought xclass asia landclass. Cloud9 got some of the SE Asia areas completely wrong, so I'm not exactly happy with it, but it includes NZ landclass (which may be depicted correctly).Post an exact map co-ordinate if you like and I can do a screenshot for you tonight.Chris

Hey Chris,Yeah if you get a chance just head ouf Auckland to the Southwest maybe 10 miles or so and get a screen shot. I played around last night after I posted. I move all the sliders to the right and still had alot of brown earth. So I don't know what to think.

Hi DaveTo get a better landclass visit: http://www.redbarent.com and have a look under 'free stuff'. The FS2004 works for FSX.FSX has changed textures, ie the autumn and summer ones look a lot drier as do some of the summer ones. This cannot be changed by a landclass fix, but only by a new set of textures. In the mean time I highly recommend setting the time to summer when flying NZ (as other people suggested).Cheers,Christian

>Yeah if you get a chance just head ouf Auckland to the>Southwest maybe 10 miles or so and get a screen shot. >No worries. Here you go. Better late than never. As others said, the default winter textures for this area are pretty bad. The landclass data too. xclass does slap a decent coat of paint over it, but maybe still not perfectly accurate...default winterhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/174541.jpgxclass winterhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/174542.jpgdefault summerhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/174543.jpgxclass summerhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/174544.jpgChris
