LatinVFR Airbus series for XBOX, what gives?

Featured Replies

I didn't think about it much when LativVFR came in these forums and told us their A321 is more so for the XBOX crowd.  Now that they are releasing a A319 version it's starting to sting a bit seeing PMDG is giving us the whole 737 series.  We could have the same thing now for the Airbus side.  Fenix has yet to say anything about expanding their offering.  That being said why can't LatinVFR team up with FBW and allow their models to fully be realized?  This is the first time one of our legacy developers openly is turning their back on the core sim crowd for the new XBOX crowd.  FBW would have to agree to it of course but it would make since if the models are there to completed the effort much like they did with the default A320.  FBW is working on an A380 and I'm sure they didn't know a scenery developer would release the rest of the A320 series using the default VC and an updated external model.  Thought I'd start this discussion so both LatinVFR and FBW can see this thread.  90% of the work is done for the Airbus systems wise by FBW as all birds in the series use the same avionics and cockpit.  It would be nice if efforts were combined by both of these developers to give the legacy hardcore sim community an Airbus series (so far A318 excluded).  To LatinVFR specifically since you started this it would be a hug thank you project to those of us who supported you over the years.  You cut your teeth on the very people who supported you way before the XBOX crowd came along.  Please consider that should FBW be on board.  The yet to be released LatinVFR A319 has everything in their models including flexing wings just like their A321 and Asobo's default A320NEO .  It makes no since not to have FBW in the mix.

FBW is not there for the money. They are a group of talented devs looking to work with something they're interested in without the pressure of time tables and all the other not so great stuff that comes with developing something commercially.

Fenix have said that IAE engines are next, and sharklets, with further models to come. I would say that is "expanding their offering".

They have not! They decide to do a couple Airbus aircraft outside of dropping airport sceneries and all of a sudden you feel abandoned.😏

Let the XBox folks eat to what's more suitable for their consoles, if LatinVFR want's to satisfy that space let them.

If they don't want to put such a bigger combined effort as far as joining forces with other devs like FBW they shouldn't feel obligated to.

They still give us PC folks great scenery products and FBW are also great on their own, with the A320 and future A380 in progress.

well first of all im not sure bout 90% of the work being done.....Its probably not even half to be honest. It took FSLabs like 2 years just to release sharklets for their A319/320/321 series. Sure now PMDG is cranking out 737 variants but they are a commercial retailer with a large team behind them probably working full time. Really cant put them in the same category as the FBW volunteers.

Latin VFR should stick to Scenery IMO. no more to say.

You are not paying their salaries. Why should they not expand their business? It's like saying amazon should have stuck to selling books only or Microsoft should have stuck to software and leave hardware alone. At the end of the day, the aim is to make money and grow. Also, if they have more income maybe that will lead to better sceneries.

Yep sure you are right about that statement. stick to something you know. No money from me on a BS plane. They should focus on Palm Beach Airport.

They have passengers in the cabin and they are a little animated. Comes with a bunch of real world liveries.

That might interest some people in comparison to the A320 from Asobo that has no cabin I believe and you need to pay extra for real world livery packs on Xbox.

If these LVFR Airbusses and the Asobo Airbus are you only choices on Xbox...the offering doesn't look half as bad.

I have posted several times that there is flybywire integration with the LFVR A321 on flightsim.to.  Makes the airplane decent.  I'm sure the same mooders will do it when the A319 comes out too.

LFVR has said they won't comment on it essentially. FBW has made no statement about it.  I think they are leaving it like the Captain Scam 777 and the masterrob94 mod.
