New Nvidia 4000 series graphics cards

Without the demand coming from crypto mining, things could conceivably shape up a little different this time.

While I'd agree that the overall GPU biosphere has radically changed with the demise of mining, I think scalpers got such a rush from that "goldmine" that they may try the same thing with the 4000 series.

I'm hopeful, but leery, that it may happen initially again...but I really hope beyond hope that they try it, and can't outpace the supply that will be available, and will be left stuck with hundreds of cards they can't even sell at retail.  That would make me happy beyond belief!🤣

where my 2080 is now or does it require more power?

definitely, and while we are at it, I recommend a new 1.000 watts PSU with PCIe 5.0 Power Connector:

https://www.tweaktown.com/news/84905/pcie-5-0-12vhpwr-power-connector-150w-300w-450w-600w-settings/index.html

Is Jensen on the MSFS beta? then he would know all we need is the new driver. but now we know why they are holding back this DX12 driver. with all their AI and interstellar software and what have you, they could have pumped that out in no time. 😊

Waiting for the other shoe to drop (AMD) to see what they have ( Or dont have) ..take a good look at a few neutral reviews and decide if its back to Team Green or remain with Team Red. I would have liked if they had used more intensive elements in their demo but that would involve a bunch of red tape to get done properly with getting permissions from third party devs and the like.

But that DLSS3 looks promising if it does what it claims on the tin.

i doubt it. until we see benchmarks and without DLSS3 i don't expect more than around 30% fps increase. until then I definitely will keep my RTX 3090 and would recommend to look for used RTX 3090 cards well below 1.000 $

Exciting times ahead. I will be picking up one of these bad boys as soon as I get my hands one.

I’ll buy one on day of release if it is possible, hope it’s not the same fiasco as the 3090. Speaking of which, anyone wanna buy a 3090? !

yes please do and run and show some real benchmarks, but not only Jensen-DLSS3 style. but I don't expect more than around 30% fps increase in typical situations.

As reported above in this thread, sites with sg in the URL are talking Singapore dollars, not USD.

Absolutely - I’ve got pockets deeper than the Mariana Trench ( and good connections with a local distributor ) so I’ll get myself a 4090 🙂

you are absolutely right, that wasn't immediately clear to me from that  image, thanks for the heads up, I have edited my post accordingly.

now that you mention it, I am relieved and might indeed be getting the 4090 for christmas, with or without that optimizing DX12 driver. who needs that anyway? 😊
