You're absolutely right. There is no news on the three sites I regularly check, and I don't see any input on this site from those companies reps that I used to see all the time. I have been patiently waiting for FS Nav, FS Pax and the DF727 since last October, but enough's enough, so last week I purchased Eaglesoft's Citation II to replace the 727, and last night - ProFlight2000 Emulator to go along with FSX's FP creator, and next week - FS Build.Last night I flew IFR from KSLC to Aspen KASE (Aerosoft) and had a great flight! Used SID's and STARS, edited the waypoints, transitions, etc., used the Garmin fully for the first time: it was pretty cool. I miss the pax, but it'll pass. . .:-walksmileMovin' on up!

Yeah no word on FSPassengers either. There is a guy developing something similar called FSCommercial Pilot, but it is still in development...but at least actively developing.It's too bad some of these great little utilities aren't updating.On another topic, I have FSBuild and it works great. Only downside is getting the route updates as you have to really search around to find free ones. The last fee update I could find was for March...otherwise you have to pay a 3rd party to get them.

For the sake of complete information.FS Navigator is the product of ONE PERSON!There is no "team" at all, other than a few beta testers, who AFAIK have thus far not had anything to test - yet...

Yes, that's a good point Bill.And it's maybe the author's choice not to produce anymore program and nothing to say about that, we didn't pay for it.Maybe will he release it but much later then advertised, that also can be understood.The only irritating thing is the lack of information.I will see an update as a matter of normal courtesy towards his loyal customers since FS98.In another hand the posts going "if you don't release it I will buy FS Commander" as I have seen in another forum are really childish and not productive.So let's wait and hope that we will have a nice surprise soon.

I miss FSNavigator - although of course I'm still running it with FS9. This is/was one of my necessary addons with MyTraffic and a weather generation program (now have ASX and XGraphics). Hope it comes soon.

Agree totally. I have had occasion in the past to communicate with Helge and he is a fine gentleman. I don't believe he likes the forum communities much and would rather program than chat. In the past, update information was mostly speculation and you didn't get any real info until Helge released the product.So far, I am still under the impression that FSN5 is being worked on and will be released when it's ready - hopefully 2007.We can wait and buy it when it's out or switch to something else. I don't think many were stating it is taking too long, I think the confusion comes from a lack of updates. It has been the same issue with FSPassengers and FSNavigator. An initial post or news item shortly after FSX came out and then little to nothing after that.As a purchaser of both products just a simple note stating where things were at would be hugely beneficial.An update knowing progress is being made towards a new version is easier to chew than no update at all.

Exactly: it's the lack of updates that's frustrating; however it's also a "mindset" to want to continue the pleasurable "adventures" we've had in FS9 - into FSX. I've accepted this isn't to be, and so I've basically wound back the clock and started over, just as with FS9 when it was new. There are new and different - and better aircraft, new and different and better sceneries: addons are now beginning to come.I've flown FSX for a month to six weeks solidly now: tweaked and SP'd, and with the new ASX & UTX - it's already too good to go back to FS9, and so FS9 is becoming a distant memory. It would be nice to have FlyTampa's KSEA and FlightScenery's Portland - but I can't sit around NOT flying FSX, and each time I fly - I find something new to take the place of the old. It's a little bit sad, but that's life.

It's a small consolation, but a flightplan created with FSNav in FS9 will also work in FSX.BlairCYOW
