Adding liveries, but not appearing.

Hello, 

I am not sure if this has been discussed previous, but earlier today I have added 2 new liveries one Etihad A350-1000 and Virgin A330-300 to the AIG folder, I have input the correct details in the fltsim sections however the liveries do not appear, it has automatically generated a different livery within the folder. 

is there anyway that this can be fixed?

Did you push the Liveries button? If so, do you find these liveries in \liveries\AI_liveries.xml?

Hi! 
I have just looked to see if I can find the xml you mentioned but I can’t seem to see it, I have looked in all my PSXT related folders but can’t see it. 
 

Do you mind telling me where it’s located?

Don't know what simulator you are using, but assume MSFS:

..\PSXT_MSFS\liveries\AI_liveries.xml

for P3D it would be 

..\PSXT_P3D\liveries\AI_liveries.xml

 

See also the Manual, section 2.1 

"The liveries folder has a subfolder regcodes, here you can put your text files that specify registration codes for liveries (5.3.2). Note that the liveries folder appears after you have run PSXT at least once."

and 5.1

"The results are store in the file \liveries\AI_liveries.xml (note that this is a file for computer-computer communication, do not make changes in it)." 

 

 

If you do not have that AI_liveries.xml file you must push the Liveries scan button.

Hello, 

so I have clicked the liveries scan button but still no xml is generated. There is the reg codes folder but I manually created a ETD text file with all aircraft in fleet & textures from fltsim.cfg entries but still not able to see this livery.

Did you check the errors and info folders ? What is an ETD text file? And post your Log.txt please.

Regarding the ETD file, I manually created the file containing the Etihad fleet matching each aircraft with livery I have installed, but it does not seem to of worked.

So I did a complete reinstall to v32.0.0 and the ai_liveries.xml appeared.

However, the Etihad livery that I added has not shown up. I did run the livery scanner before I checked the xml.

In the AI_liveries.xml you mean? I assume.

Are the fltsim numbers consecutive in the aircraft.cfg file? You added #7 and  #29 ... 

Also check the errors sub folder.  And check that your liveries are in \info\AirlineData.txt

So I managed to manually add the liveries that was missing into the ai_liveries.xml and they appeared.

However, when I install more liveries and add them manually I get this error: 51: File/AI_liveries.xml not found 

The xml file is there in the livery folder so I cannot understand why it is no longer working. 

The reason why I have to add the liveries manually, is because when I go to scan the liveries button they are not appearing in the xml.

I'm sorry but that is a totally wrong approach.  As stated in the Manual, that file is for computer program to computer program communication. You must not touch it.

Search for the reason why that livery is not scanned, or why it is scanned but not considered to be valid by PSXT. All the info about that is in the info and errors folders or in the Log.txt.
