Windows 11 update 22h2 - Beware

Recommended Posts

You may see an update in your system to windows 11 22h2. If you do it, all your games will become a stutter fest. Something is wrong in that build that will destroy all games including MSFS. I had to roll back Windows because even the world map you select airports from was stuttering, which never happened before. Give this one some time to get sorted before you update.

Edit: Here and on other game forums it looks like it is tied to Nvidia drivers. So depending on the driver version you may or may not have issues. Many reported the latest studio driver works with this version.

No problems here either. I saw on MSFS forums that a lot of folks have issues though.

Judging by the replies I think you should change ‘will’ to May become.

Everything working fine here on both view pc’s after the W update….

Probably the update went not well on your setup and rolling back solved it. Perhaps the next time you update you won’t have any issues like we don’t have them..

Neither here. All fine. Note that quite some apps were updated right after 22H2 update through the store and just today again eg gaming services and xbox.

22h2 enabled vbs (security) on two systems that I installed it on. I disabled it on both. You will loose 5% of fps with vbs enabled. I do not need vbs on these systems.

Microsoft is phasing it in. Only a certain percentage will be offered this update each day. I'm still on 21H2, no update offered.
