An apology to Andre

Recommended Posts

I rarely post negative comments about people. However, every once and a while someone says something about someone else that strikes me as being very unfair. In those cases, I have been known to jump in and respond.I did this in a recent thread. I felt one particular individual was attacking another unfairly. After reading several posts from this individual, my sense of fairness boiled over and I replied in a less than friendly manner.Unfortunately, in a post or two above Andre

It's nice that you did this but I don't think we need a thread dedicated to an apology that could have been handled via IM...My thoughts for what they are worth (which probably isn't much).________________________________________________________________________________________________Intel D975XBX2 'Bad Axe 2' | Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.20Ghz | 2 GB Super Talent DDR2 800 | Big Typhoon VX | eVGA 8800GTS @ 565/900 | Seagate 2x320GB SATA RAID-0 | OCZ GameXStream 700W | Creative X-Fi | Silverstone TJ-09BW | Matrox Triplehead Setup

Well, handling an apology via IM doesn't save face on the forums themselves. A lot of people apologize publicly so those who remember their brash response see the character for who they are. I see nothing wrong with it and it's done all over the net. This way a passerby who saw the comment won't continue to think the poster is rude and give them a fair chance.
