FSLTL - live traffic finally released

Recommended Posts

No time to read the whole thread but did want to say this is an excellent addon.  Much better than Simple Traffic and much easier than AIG.

Very resource hungry though and I wonder if that's due to the aircraft textures being to big. Reducing the size of those textures would also free up a lot of disk space as well as improving performance.  I don't know how badly it would affect the quality though.

As it is, I'm loving it with a pretty high end system, but those on older rigs might be getting issues.

This is an excellent addon.  I'm loving it.  Looking forward to future updates and additional liveries.  Use it almost exclusively with VATSIM.  The sound implementation is very good.    Love the rumble of departing aircraft when waiting for departure.

Becoming a plane spotter here, installed FSLTL today and I love it, not so much fps impact.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2020 (she's here, but...).

The sounds are broken though in vPilot. All aircraft are at full thrust. Doesn't seem that they want to fix it.

There's no point in telling this forum. You need to be telling them lot over on the official forum and asking the question on the next q&a

Well, I read his post here and followed the link and voted. I’m number 1298. I’m probably not the only one. So there was a point after all.😉

It's using FlightRadar24 information for aircraft injection. So.  Essentially it is only showing any aircraft which has its ADS-B transponder turned on.

Talking about it replacing aircraft at parking spaces, which it is not doing right at smaller airports.
Isn't it supposed to also prevent generic livery aircraft at auto-spawn starts?

It's working at large airports, don't see how it would work at larger airports if I didn't follow the directions?

I did the following steps:

Required:
* Exe from this package in a folder
* Traffic settings in MSFS turned off (no live traffic or AI traffic enabled)
* FSLTL model package installed

Usage:
* Start MSFS and create a flight of your choice
* Wait until you have spawned into the simulator
* Start fsltl-trafficinjector.exe from the folder you created above
* fsltl-trafficinjector.exe should start to show aircraft being injected after 20-30 seconds, it provides lots of detail on what is being injected
* Debug logs are available in the logs directory for further analysis

________________________________________________________

At Morgan County Utah, no aircraft replaced (but this one may not have spawn points, didn't look).
At KLGU, no aircraft in parking spawns replaced.
At my fictional UTML airport, only one aircraft spawn was replaced, it said "Great Barrier" which isn't accurate, but at least it's something.

I will try some others...

At SLC, everything was custom.

Provo is the second busiest airport in Utah, and here is what it looks like with this add-on installed:

z3GnKxd.jpg

Every spawn point is using a default livery (assuming these are spawn points and not placements, usually they are spawns).

Someone else try Provo (KPVU) and tell me if they get the same issue...

Please forgive the grass, as I'm currently editing something.

Provo is a grass field now? What even is this? And those aircraft have nothing to do with FSTL Dude. Your install is rekt. I have no idea what you're even doing or showing me.

ok, I have no idea why you are so defensive or what you are even talking about?
My install is not messed up that I am aware of, it was a clean install and works fine in large airports.

"My aircraft", what does that even mean...The grass has nothing to do with this, I told you I was editing something, and it is in no way conflicting with this (just a polygon).

I asked a simple question being is it supposed to replace the aircraft in auto-spawn points?

It seems to indicate that it does, but apparently it only does for the largest gates, or maybe I need to add models to it (not sure)...
It's not like Provo doesn't have decent sized flights, they fly to Houston, Vegas, Denver (to name a few), I think they fly to about 20 different cities.

The option was not persisting after closing the injector and opening again, so they fixed that.

Ah, I see. I thought that could've been a bug. They're quick with the updates though - promising.

I cannot forgive what you have done to the grass 😄 but I imagine that you are only seeing default liveries on those GA because FSLTL only includes 1x PA28 GA livery. Looking in the texture folders, there are only liveries for passenger jets, a lear jet, ATR's and DH8's.

Thanks for an actual meaningful reply, that's what I was wondering. So does downloading extra ones, will it still inject others you download?

Sorry, I don't have time right now to read the whole thread, so many threads trying to keep up with.
