Oh, this is what I was looking for, couldn't remember the name. Global AI Shipping Traffic...
Then I can add other liveries with other ship addons if I choose to later, ahh got it.

I never thought of combining GAIST with the payware option though. I guess the local package e.g. UK South East coast would not conflict with GAIST?

Not sure, I will have to test it later. Just now getting everything setup.

I have so much marine traffic with GAIST and Seafront.. more than I have aircraft with FSLTL and SimFlea.. and I haven't noticed any conflict problems since GAIST 'just started working' the other day after freezing the sim every time.

I did just have a memory crash though so probably pushing my luck with all these addons.. So much good stuff available for MSFS and it looks amazing. How lucky we are to have a sim that looks like this by default and with global coverage..

100% agree. Got some excellent freeware addons for UK South coast the other day, so I guess it’s only natural to add the Seafront package 🙂

I know, MSFS is the SIM we always dreamed of, it's hard to believe someone ever released such a thing.

Asobo drives me crazy though sometimes with their dev stuff. They give you 80% complete of some tools, and they don't use common since in their editors (like auto-filling defaults from previous edits, which could literally save hundreds of hours, or more). I just need to make more custom parsers so I can supplement the editor to make it go faster. Their road system is problematic as well, no real easy way to add vector stuff I guess yet, haven't looked into it that much though.

The SimFlea addon looks strange, are all the models plain with no branded livery, or is that just the way the screenshots look?

They are the default MSFS AI models which don't even look like their real counterparts. A hard no for me.

I looked into it a bit more and the liveries are very repetitive and bland. Are you using any other GA addon?

This is from the product page:

Offline GA Traffic uses five MSFS generic general aviation models with three custom paint schemes for each model, which blend in perfectly with the static GA models included with many payware airports. They also taxi, take off and land at any airport, airfield, or airstrip with a suitable parking space throughout the MSFS world. They fly VFR days only and IFR day and night, and all have strobe, navigation and landing lights. They fully interact with ATC at all stages of flight, and ATC will call them by a real-world make and model name, and a region-specific registration number.

New in Version 3:

  • 6 times more flightplans than default - more ga traffic, more often!
  • Turboprops and private jets now fully shut down their engines after taxiing to parking.

No, not until there's some actual real world GA models available.

It would be great if some talented artists would create some liveries for the GA models! Then we can fly with not so generic repaints.. I've asked the developer and there are no paint templates available though, so would have to paint on top of existing textures..

Agreed the Simflea addon isn't really payware worthy, but I am enjoying the variation of IFR/VFR traffic I'm now seeing with the FSLTL & Simflea combo, especially at GA only accessible remote Pacific and Carribean airports.

Where FSLTL alone didn't provide any traffic injection for.

Big high-five for the addition of the traffic zapper option. I had an AI plane overtake me on final approach at 1000 feet and was able to hit the remove button and instantly kill it.  Very cool little feature!!! Works on the ground too but be careful you can hose all your nearby traffic too.

So when using the freeware GA addon...We let the sim itself inject the traffic, and the FSLTL injector remains completely out of the equation, other than for setting parked aircraft if wanted?

It's important to edit the .json file as per the instructions to prevent default airliners from showing. Then adjust GA traffic using the AI offline slider. Use FSLTL as normal.

I'm currently using Phantoms freeware GA mod + FSLTL at IFR 85 VFR 10 parked 0. AI offline slider at 100% and getting plenty of GA both on the ground and in the air.

Great.  Thanks for the clarification!
