From my observation it does not. It simply reads the Arrival and Departure Tables off Flightradar24 and then uses that to populate the sim with traffic. But actual positional tracking is not done.

And how is this different that what I stated? The "snapshot" comes from Flightradar24 when using FSLTL's injector- Not from Flightaware, as is the case with MSFS. October 19, 20223 yr A juicy FSLTL Update is in the making. No definitive date yet, but the preview hints at more smiles, much more 😛 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzJmdNwB1i4 Cheers, 2Low2Slow Edited October 19, 20223 yr by TooLowTooSlow link thingy
October 19, 20223 yr From the video: they advice that it's better to stay away from SU11 beta for now, and that they are awaiting some feedback from Asobo. EDIT: Wow, lot's of great changes. Toolbar sliders to change things on the fly 🙂 Edited October 19, 20223 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
October 19, 20223 yr From the video, I still do not really get how I could potentially improve the fallback mechanism. Especially in Asia, FSLTL is extremely weak in regard of liveries available and somehow, the fallback does not work really good if FSLTL model is available, but no livery, e.g. many, many 737 series aircraft that fly in and out of ZBAA are blank, although my AIG library would have all missing livieries ready... October 20, 20223 yr For someone who knows nothing about this yet - Where is a good place to learn about it? Does it take up a lot of SSD space? Is there much of an FPS hit? T45

Is there much of an FPS hit? T45 It's very simple to install, you just run their installer and you're basically done. Yah, there is a bit of an FPS hit, but you can manually down-convert the textures and it might help a little. You can also control the overall traffic population to some extent, it pops up some options each time you run it. There is another thread in here about converting the textures to a lower resolution. It doesn't take that much space, I believe less than 50GB. Edited October 20, 20223 yr by Alpine Scenery AMD 5800x | Nvidia 3080 (12gb) | 64gb ram

October 20, 20223 yr For me FSLTL give me the memory read error with SU11. And sometimes terrible FPS (around 5) on some arrival airports. So happy with the warning. As regards customization of how many aircraft are loaded, if for instance you want to sit at Gatwick & watch FSLTL departures & arrivals, can you control settings so that only FSLTL aircraft coming & going from Gatwick are loaded in MSFS? If so, can you also set the number of departing & arriving aircraft? {FPS management being the objective} T45
