PSXT and FSLTL

Recommended Posts

Good news!
The release of FSLTL gives PSXT users the possibility to let PSXT work with the FSLTL models, either solely or even better together with the AIG models.

Download the FSLTL base models.
Run PSXT, push the Liveries button, and you will get 1977 extra liveries, also a few GA.
Make sure you run PSXT at least twice, MSFS has to build up info about the FSLTL liveries.
At the first run you will get a lot of "cannot be created …" messages.
They will disappear at the second run of PSXT with FSLTL.

Does the order which the liveries are "discovered" matter? Meaning, does it matter if I discover AIG then followed by FSLTL later? How does the sim pick between the two sets if they are redundant?

Also, and perhaps more importantly, any idea of whether FSLTL or AIG are more framerate-friendly?

FSLTL traffic injection isn't great (other than the fact that they have default static aircraft for lots of airports, rather than having to learn an airport first). But I much prefer PSXT real-time updates, rather than FSLTL letting MSFS ATC control their behavior.

Nice to have an option, but the FSLTL aircraft are too dipped in gloss looking for my liking. They do have nice contrail and water effects, but thats not a big enough plus to want to use them over the AIG collection.

For new users not familiar, please be aware that this 'system' has a payware (monthly) component.  Just an FYI

That is clearly stated on my web site, and nothing to "warn" for.

Like I wrote before, real live traffic does not come for free 😉
