When did airport scenery start popping in?

Recommended Posts

Pre-Cache is Ultra. I just recently noticed this all over the world. It's annoying.

I haven't noticed that myself. Which airport is it, Bill?

It happens at any airport for me. It isn't just parking lot cars. It can be tugs, containers, etc.

Yes. I have noticed this too with cars.  Might be since SU10, or maybe even before but it only started happening fairly recently.

I've definitely noticed pop in has been more prevalent lately.  I don't know exactly when it started, but I know for sure it has gotten worse in recent weeks for me.

Thanks all for confirming. It's clear Asobo added exclusions to the off screen caching no matter what your settings

I noticed this too at least with parked cars.  Precache ultra.  Object LOD is maxxed.

Has anyone confirmed if it's DX11 or DX12-specific?  Or does it happen no matter which DX mode you're in?

I tried with both DX11 and DX12 and DLSS and TAA. Same results.

Is it just the parked cars, or any/all/more types of objects?

I mentioned it above but other objects also.  Cars, Tugs, Cargo Containers, Jetways sometimes, Luggage. Parked cars is the most noticeable because of the sheer volume of them around airports so it takes your eyes off other objects.

It’s an effect not only visible on airports, have a look at motorways or busy roads. The moment you look at a road, cars pop in. It’s been like that a long time, definitely long before SU 10.

For me its been this way since I think SU7 - but its definitely before Su10 - doesn't seem any worse since SU10 at least for me.

Jup... I cant remember was it with SU10 or earlier 😞 Most irritating are taxi signs. while taxiing they pop in like 20-50 meters from them.
