I know! I've stated your exact words so many times in this forum. If I had to pick one developer to cross-platform, it would be Aerobask, hands down!

Their Epic Victory jet was well done also! I would love to see that one in MSFS.

WOW! Something way off there! That is one incredible tailwind!

This is on full take off power (light weight) can't go pass 173 kts

Also there is questionable aircraft performance. Full power show max 173 kts. TAS 294

I worked it out at 295 if you're at FL330, -45c and 173kts so it's pretty spot-on but if that's full power it does look rather slow. Mach .5

OK just checked. Normal cruise speed apparently 340kts (although it didn't say what altitude. I'm presuming FL310-FL350 ish)

I enjoyed flying the FSX Mustang despite it being a CPU hog. Not sure about this one.

Cruise speed should be around 300-310 KTAS for long range, and max cruise 340 KTAS. That is on cruise power though, not take off power

Yeah, the sim rate gets old after repeated use... lol

Do you know what my most hated words are in flight simulation?

"Inop"

and

"Waiting for Asobo to fix....."

The Flight1 was, even though it was heavy on performance and light on visuals, one of my faves in FSX, even though the plane is slower than grandma after a hip replacement.

I never understood why so many people had framerate problems with the Flight1 Cessna Citation Mustang. I used that plane in FSX with a Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2.8Ghz powered system, and it ran absolutely fine for me.

Took the plunge yesterday and been flying it a bit last night and this morning so I will give my initial impressions.

Firstly, there is definitely a texture issue with the cockpit, maybe the MIP mapping is not correct or something but its very unreadable at default zoom, the rest of the textures are high quality and overall looks very nice.

The FMC keypad does not work, and frustratingly when using the create flight plan screen, you cannot then move any switches whatsoever afterwards, this seems to be only when making a full flight plan, it is unaffected by the direct-to function.

The engine performance flight dynamics seem a little off to me during climb and cruise, kind of like the aircraft is under powered.

hand flying its very nice actually and I think when the dev team sort out these issues it will be a nice addition for regular flying.

I must admit the Mustang is a new aircraft for me so maybe people with more knowledge will pick up on more detailed systems that are lacking.

Let me step in here one more time. What I am hearing now is definite deal breaker. It may not be in an alpha stage, but it is certainly no solid/polished beta with the reported visuals inside combined with the airborne flight dynamics/panel readouts. Regardless of how long the model has been in development, the impact of a quality model is far better received in the long term by addressing key issues before publishing.

and outside. those cracks cause turbulence and drag, that's why the plane doesn't reach its advertised speed.

why not stick with the Citation CJ4? oh I forgot, it's free, that's why. 😊

very nice.

The thing, planes like the Carenado PC 12 and probably this one aren't made for the "hardcore simmer", who voraciously reads avsim and spends 2 grand on a brunner yoke.

These planes are for the average gamer dude who likes to noodle around over nice looking scenery, starts the plane on the runway with all engines running and usually abandons his flights half way through, because he is bored or wants to do something else.

These planes are like Ihop. Not 2 star Michelin restaurants.

The Cessna 441 Conquest had equal or better perfomance than the Mustang.

On my old system with 4 screens this is a perfect quick plane.

Frame rate is as good as any plane, one of the best actually.

It feels right, I have never flown a Mustang, so take that with a grain of salt.

It works perfectly with AirManager,.......spacer.png

I´ve reported some switch issues, wonder how they made it through the Beta Test, otherwise very nice plane.

1.) AVN PWR

In your VR cockpit it´s a three way switch and the up position turns it OFF

I guess it should be a two way and up is ON

 3.) ENGINE ANTI-ICE

In your VR cockpit L switch to ON flips the WINGSTAB to MANUAL, guess that´s an issue?

4.) The PAX SAFETY/SEATBELT

Would be nice, if it would be three way, because it´s used regularly.

The WT G1000NXi  currently offers North Up as it seems?

Yes I have noticed a few problems that according to the developer will be fixed very soon such as reversed switches. And the texture of some cockpit items that you need to zoom in on to read properly.

I will try your panel today, thanks.

It will also be nice when the functions of the G1000 NXi will be fixed by WT and the developer, I think this will happen sometime this fall. But who knows.

Even with these problems I love flying this plane. It just feels right and the view from the cockpit is second to none for a business jet, at least with my 4 screen setup. I love hand flying and this plane really begs to be hand flown. I especially love ILS approaches at minimums or close to minimums. It is also a fun plane to fly low around scenic islands and or mountains. The fact you can use 3000' fields is great as well. L

Like I said it suits my way of simming perfectly, and I am looking forward to a few fixes from SebDar he is very responsive and active on Discord. I wish all developers were this communicative.

@everyone There will be an update today that addresses the fuelburn, performance and the unfortunate interfering with other G1000 equipped aircrafts. Might be able to address a few more things. Will also update the manual and include a blank white model and livery for painters.
