Being that is new...I'm not sure, but only after I turned Sharpening off, did I get back great and visually appealing graphics.

I used sharpening off with TAA but with DLSS I had to turn it on, otherwise everything would look much more blurred.

For me DX12 is fine until the approach. Same Airport while Takeoff ~35 Fps, while Landing 15 Fps. That is frustating.

I literally have no change in perf between DX11 and 12.  I have the new WHQL drivers.  I also have a somewhat dated (so sad to say lol) GTX 1080 Ti.

Thank you for the great advice. I had previously turned sharpening off in the usercfg file and didn't realize it had been reset to on. When I set it back to off (0), I not only got much-better-looking graphics, but my performance and smoothness improved considerably. I'm guessing that the sharpening instruction within the usercfg file does siphon off some CPU or GPU resources. I keep the AMD setting to 200, which doesn't seem to affect performance (that I can detect). I also set the Film Grain option to off in the usercfg file.

Of course, my card does not engage DLSS, so for myself...off is the sweet note.

With DX11, on my 1070, I had micro stutter in animation.  With using DX12 that is gone.

Perhaps you settings are too high so your pc is not able to sharpen the ground textures in the distance.

Or your bandwidth might be too low if your system is powerful enough.

Then start with your settings at lower values and slowly built it up till the blurry textures appear again…

Just installed the new drivers - same card as you. Do you use DX12 then  when performance is equal?

Thanks

Also 1080ti (+8700k) here and no difference in performance between the two.
My vsync is externally set to adaptive half framerate with a 60mhz monitor.
