66666

Recommended Posts

I have an entry in my content manager named "66666".  I can't work out what it belongs to though suspect that it might relate to an objects library.

Does anyone have this entry or have any idea what it relates to?

Did you try disabling it?

Obviously, you haven't seen The Exorcist.

Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space.
Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

Thanks for all your witty comments guys. Made me chuckle.  I've seen the exorcist and I like Iron Maidens the number of the beast and know about 666.

I will try disabling and see what happens, though I do think it may have something to do with an addon.  I was just wondering about the best way to trace its source.  Ultimately, I could run my mods in sets and narrow it down.  I will also run with an empty community file and see if it disappears.

I was wondering if anyone else had this entry, but I guess not.

Finally, I found the culprit.  It is installed by the freeware scenery EGBO Wolverhampton (Halfpenny Green) By Dabba fromflightsim.to.

No reason to think it is sinister at all.  Certainly doesn't seem to be the work of the Devil, but  if Dabba is lurking anywhere, perhaps he could explain.

If anyone else has this piece of scenery installed, perhaps they would like to check their content manager for the 6666 entry.
