Is there a way to improve Model Matching with Live-Traffic?

I would call 180€ per year extremely pricey.

It is 90 dollar a year.

Don't forget that the costs of developing MSFS is shared by millions of users, while the cost of buying real time data from data providers (by the developer of RT) is shared by maybe 1000 users.

So if more people would join in the subscription to RealTraffic could  be lowered.

@kiek makes an important point. The law of supply and demand will establish the price which buyers will pay for a seller's product. However, there's another important point that seems to have been missed. MSFS add-on developers have published their products at prices that are often as much as a factor of two lower than has been the case previously for FSX, P3D, and XP. That's because the size of the MSFS market is so much larger than that of those earlier desktop sim products combined. Those developers took a big risk when they established those lower prices, but apparently they have done well by expanding the market for their products.

I'm a former customer of RealTraffic, but recall a much lower price. At some point, I believe that the cost of the feed to RealTraffic increased and hence so did the price to the end user. Fair enough, but it made it sufficiently unattractive that I decided (as I suspect did others) it was no longer worth the cost. As potential users, we either purchase the product or we don't. Only RealTraffic's developer can establish the price. We can't.

One other suggestion: if RealTraffic wants to sell to the larger MSFS market, its developer might want to consider integrating the tools required to inject traffic into the sim into a single package, i.e., merging RealTraffic with PSXT. Some of us fled the older sims because we were sick of fiddling with six or eight software packages that did one or another single function, e.g., weather, cameras, traffic, control mapping, etc. Yes, I know that there are some in the community who delight in such things, and that's fine, but I think that the average MSFS isn't likely to do so. Just a free suggestion, and probably worth exactly that.

Best wishes.

Exactly. High costs justify a higher selling price, but that doesn't make the price any more attractive to the customer; it's still the same.

MSFS live traffic model matching is suddenly worse than ever after the latest update, any fix yet?

Asobo has to fix it. I think the matching is done server side, because sometimes it works fine, sometimes it doesn't.

Like I sat LAX last week for about 30 minutes and had great matching. The only mismatches I saw were of liveries and models AIG doesn't have. But then I popped over to YSSY, and had word not allowed matching.

oh..thx for the update men I really thought maybe I messed up since I haven't seen any other complain about this.

Model matching is definitely worse in SU11. I’ve been trying (no luck) to prevent generic models to show by editing the aircraft.cfg files in the generic folders under Official/OneStore.

icao_generic = 0
No aircraft visible

icao_generic = 1 and isAirTraffic = 0
Lots of aircraft but also quite a few generic

Yes flying the proper procedures, with the right livery, in real time comes with a cost. However, I would not call 3 beers a month or once to the movies a month, "insanely priced"  😉

And don't forget that you get  my part of the system  PSXT, for free.

And ADBs is free too and you don't wanna we use it with PSX, Why?

Sooo many BELL helicopters flying around...in the body of CJ4's and A320...

Even my multiplayer buddies see me in a A320 when i fly the standard KingAir.

Its worse than ever with the model matching in Multiplayer.
