Check the link out.Related Question: Are there any informed individuals (pilots or engineers) who can inform us on the advances that are incorporated into the 787 cockpit?Another question: Are any add-on publishers working on providing an FSX version of this new bird? Is that stream and Boeing's website getting hammered? So given that they are making so much noise about how the carbon fiber frame will make it lighter, I looked up the stats of the 787 vs the A330.I decided to compare the 787-9 to the A330-200 since seating-wise they are nearly identical. Now, they 787-9 does have a significantly longer range, but since they both have almost identical fuel capacities I think its a fair comparison.A330-200 (seats 253/293)- 263,700 lbs787-9 (seats 250/290) - 254,000 lbs.So the 787 shaves off a whopping 3.8% of the A330's weight?
